Answering questions is a very important part of the buying process. The Ebay website, which I hate, does not allow sellers to post phone numbers in adverts and therefore makes it impossible to get answers to questions you feel are important without actually buying the item and finding out the answer later for yourself, sometimes to the buyer's detriment, unless you ask questions during the advertising period. Provided your questions are reasonable, on topic and polite, they should always be answered. Some people don't answer questions and I regard those sellers as vermin, who should be kicked off the site altogether. As such, I would leave negative feedback to any seller who deliberately avoided answering questions. There is just no excuse for it and it is rude, shows bad manners, it wastes buyers' time and potentially leads to sales which would not otherwise have taken place, particularly if a defect is concealed as a result of a seller refusing to answer questions. My own view is that repeat offenders should be kicked off Ebay, because they are utter vermin.
When I am interested in a listing usually it's pretty clear what the item is, the condition, the terms, and there's really no reason to ask a question.
When a listing leaves me with questions usually I just close and keep looking. Sometimes I will ask a question but I'm not going to bid or buy unless the seller answers. And if there is no sale there is no opportunity for feedback.
After the sale there isn't any reason for questions. Either the item will arrive on time as described or it won't.
Since I do not sell the answers to questions, there is no feedback involved.
Hmm. . .maybe I should start selling answers.
I wonder how much the FVF would be?

I’m a seller with 100% positive feedback I rarely have messages to answer from my buyers. If they ever ask me a question I’ll answer, otherwise I have FAQs that answers buyer’s questions.

·2 years agoFeedback is something that Buyers give Seller AFTER they have purchased something and has NOTHING to do with communication.

·2 years agoThe short answer is that answering questions is not a requirement. Nor would it be tied to feedback.
