It sounds like your feedback was removed because you started a dispute with eBay … and then opened another one with PayPal … which would have immediately closed the one with eBay, giving a win to the seller.
Buyers can’t leave feedback after losing a dispute.
You had a righteous eBay case had you only followed the procedures outlined in eBay’s Money Back Guarantee.

·3 years agoYou cannot say certain words or wording in a negative feedback...examples "fraudulent", "fake", "mafia". Seller can get those deleted as well as eBay. Besides, other sellers can read your feedback that you are leaving. Sometimes its best to say nothing.

OP3 years agoTo protect other buyers from this seller - I wrote him a justified negative comment:
I DO NOT RECOMMEND - this seller lies about the condition of the goods, because he sells dirty and destroyed things from dumps and waste containers.
eBay deleted my comment without asking my opinion. I find eBay's actions unprofessional as they put other buyers at risk.
Although eBay deleted my comment, they don't realize that I had a good reason for it because I risked a negative comment from the seller.
I've actually thrown away all my positive feedback in all the years I've been using eBay.

And also do not understand why you would not have simply opened an item not as described case per the MBG. The seller would have been required to front you the return shipping cost and to refund in full upon receipt of the item back. Why settle for 70% refund?

Sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers.
And you shot yourself in the foot when you threw away the merchandise.
Have you never ever read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers?
Still waiting to hear about your "threw away positive feedback".
eBay offers an easy way for buyers to be made whole if/when a transaction goes wrong.
It appears that's what you "threw away".

OP3 years agoThe package was delivered to me on my birthday. When I saw what the seller sent me, I didn't want to spoil the celebration and threw away everything ruined and dirty. That means I couldn't send something back to the seller that I no longer had. I'm not sorry for the loss of money, but for the unprofessional behavior of eBay who deleted my truthful comment.
Although eBay apologized to me today, they also wrote to me that they cannot return the comment. It doesn't matter anymore because I'm done with eBay.

It's true that eBay affords this to sellers in certain situations. Without knowing yours , we can't say why for sure.

OP3 years agoIt was a purchase of lego that did not match the description.
I only resolved the dispute with the seller on PayPal, but I did not accept his offer of a solution because he wanted to rob me a second time.
I paid the seller a total of 125 euros. 115 euros officially + another 10 euros at the request of the seller outside the payment system (so that he does not have to pay eBay and PayPal fees)
Description of the problem:
1. The text of the ad was false because the seller presented the destroyed Lego as a Lego in perfect condition.
2. 70% of the parts were glued with permanent glue - this means that it cannot be disassembled and is irreversibly destroyed.
This applies to most large parts - base pads, walls, columns, railings and roofs, but also small parts.
3. During assembly for photography and packaging, the seller had to find out and yet he lied in the text of the ad and did not alert me to the real condition in any way.
(the two largest pads were also screwed to some plastic plate - this means that they are not only glued, but also leaky)
In conclusion: only dolls, small accessories and some parts are in usable (undamaged) condition - this means that +/- 70% is unusable plastic waste.
Any attempt to disassemble it into individual components will break, or irremovable traces of glue will remain on the parts.
I contacted the seller, but he did not apologize for his actions and only insulted me.
Therefore, I legitimately started a dispute on PayPal and demanded that he refund me 70% of the price of the goods and shipping, because he sent me plastic waste.
His proposed solution: that I should send the waste he sent me back to Germany at my own expense (+ another 32 euros).
I would pay a total of 157 euros, and the seller would perhaps refund me 80 euros of this amount.
I ended the dispute on PayPal even though PayPal offered to cover the shipping costs because I threw the ruined and dirty "Lego" in the trash in the meantime
(I do not collect or store waste from the landfill)

·3 years agoYou deliberately violated eBay policy and procedures in order to cheat eBay of its fees, by taking part of the payment transaction off eBay.
Instead of using eBay to resolve the problem, you filed a chargeback with PayPal which, once begun, eliminated eBay from the refund process altogether.
But eBay is the bad guy here.

To protect other buyers from this seller - I wrote him a justified negative comment:

In all the years I've been using eBay, I've actually thrown away all my positive feedback.
