Febreeze use
Is there any way to make sellers disclose that they use Febreeze on their items? They say no pets, non smoking, then saturate items with a toxic substance. If something smells off, perhaps they shouldn't be selling it. The febreeze is overdone, and obnoxious and very difficult to get rid of. Awful, chemical.

You are likely aware a seller is not required to reply to a buyer question , give it a try
When in doubt about the use of febreeze on a item , are you truly desperate to own it ?

·11 months agoIt puzzles me why sellers would use anything that smells to cover up...smells.
I don't know if a can promote a product I use here, so I'll be vague. I use a scent-free non-harmful product that neutralizes odors and does not harm fabrics, etc. It rhymes with the word "goof." It is specifically promoted for pet odors, but it does well at neutralizing other odors, too. It is non-toxic. I have used it on plush, clothes, even a makeup case that smelled horrible. It doesn't leave any odor behind.
To the OP, pay close attention to the item description. If a listing says no odors, but you get something that smells like flowers, you can file an Item Not As Described return if the seller gives you issues about taking it back.

·11 months agoSoft goods do pick up odors. Some items are best purchased new. Placing it in a hot attic or garage in the summer can drive off much of that smell.

·11 months agoTo start off this community of peers can't make anything happen as far as policy or listings. Ebay would have to state that or take action which they won't. Technically the seller needs to disclose any kind of odor to the item if it makes a difference to the value of the item. You can technically return it as "not as described." Sellers should disclose everything but they are just taking a chance.

·11 months agoNo, there is no way to make them disclose that. Since it’s a particular concern for you, I would recommend messaging the seller of any item you want to buy that does not specify, and if they do not answer to your satisfaction, find a different seller.
