False item/seller locations (China)
If eBay continues to do nothing about sellers who hide their true location when selling (talking about China mainly) then someone someday will hit eBay with a class action lawsuit because hiding or misleading the true location of items and goods for sale is illegal, right?
So, if you don't want to buy anything from China and the seller lists that they are a US SHIPPER FAST FREE SHIPPING, buyer beware because you are about to dance with the evil Dragon. Check their name, click on the link, then go to ABOUT. If you do not see a US address, city, and state, MOVE ON TO ANOTHER SELLER.
Oh, you say that did that already only to find out that 8 (or more) other sellers are using the same location? Same wording? Same photos? Same broken English? Same flag that says there will be a five to ten day delay after purchase? Move on to a real US seller!
After I ordered the last two items this month from an alleged US SELLER, I received tracking that gives no details. I now know that my items are stored and shipped from China, not Hebron, KY as the listing stated. I will NEVER buy anything from China and if I see an item that I choose to purchase and it really comes from China, I will press the seller to reveal the true location or report the fraud to eBay and leave feedback which also states the same.
If you truly want to be a highly rated seller, be truthful and fair to every customer. If not, then you have NO HONOR!
Will they do anything to stop it? Right now it doesn't look as if they will but if enough of us sound the alarm they will have no choice. I believe in fair trade but lying to steal money from US buyers is wrong! To sell us worthless junk and not refund us is wrong! And for eBay to be complicit in this action is also very very VERY WRONG!

·1 year agoDoesn't do any good to report it either.
I reported a seller in Pakistan. 1st photos shows "US Stock Fast Shipping" but the item ships from Pakistan.
The report came back as not being an issue from eBay.
So I have stopped reporting anything.
The only thing a buyer can do is research the seller and if you even think maybe they are dropshipping or are in another country.... Move on to someone who doesnt lie.

·1 year agoIt is a buyers responsibility to vet any seller you are planning on buying from. Looking at the sellers feedback page will tell you what country the seller is registered in. Plus looking at feedback received is another indicator.
eBay allows drop shipping...that is what those Chinese sellers are doing.
But thanks for posting....best of luck with your class action law suit, be sure to come back and tell us how it went.

·1 year agoThey do not allow drop shipping of the kind where they are using Amazon inventory. Also if they drop ship from anywhere which they do..it has to be inventory that they own, and frankly I doubt if they own a single thing.
1. People need to pay attention to these sellers…
2. Report them.
It hurts all of us. Here is a copy and paste and I can bet they have no agreement with these sources
Drop shipping, also known as product sourcing, is when you buy stock from a supplier and work with them to send items directly to your buyers without ever handling them yourself.
Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay. Remember that if you use drop shipping, you’re still responsible for the safe delivery of the item within the time frame stated in your listing and for the buyer’s overall satisfaction with their purchase.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay.
