Fake authentication sign in jerseys
I had seen and reported sports jerseys with fake authentication from well know authentication house.
They made a copy of an sticker with the same QR and Number for several jerseys (some didnt even match the team).
I reported, attached the pictures of original and fake one and says it “isnt a violation of out policyâ€.
They are selling fake ones to newbys or so, for a original price

·1 year agoReport it to the authentication house that issued the sticker. Ask them why they are providing false stickers? Tell them you can no longer trust their authentication process and their stickers are meaningless.
Let them get after eBay. eBay has no way of knowing what info we provide them as being factual or not.

When you use the "report a listing" feature now, it simply goes to a (rather stupid) bot, that sends everyone the same auto-responder message regarding how it is not in violation.
Now, SUPPOSEDLY, if the bot gets lots of reports by different people on the same listings, a human is supposed to look, and take care of the problem. We see no evidence of this happening. I suppose if eBay was truly interested in scam listings on their site they would not have initiated the bot system from the start or at least employed one that wasn't so dumb. Perhaps, money is more important than honor or reputation.

·1 year agoIf you bought the item, you may follow the terms of the Ebay Money Back Guarantee and return and get a refund.
When you report without buying, you have zero credibility. Ebay runs the same program which roams the site trying to detect counterfeits. Hence the worthless response you received. Reporting is a waste of time.
Buyers or rightsholders actions spur disciplinary action against sellers of counterfeits.
There are far too many listings and far too many false reports for Ebay to pay serious attention to would be vigilantes.

OP1 year agoI didnt bought it, i want just to report several seller who offer the same scam with accounts from Australia and Canada, using the same counterfeit item but eBay doesnt accept my reports.
Even with pictures and evidence about its fake

Counterfeit items are not allowed to be listed on eBay at all. No one is authorized to sell counterfeit items. That fact alone does not stop some people from trying to sell them, however.
The problem is that unscrupulous or uninformed sellers can list genuine items and then deliver counterfeit items.
It is not always possible to look at a listing and know in advance exactly what, if anything, the seller intends to deliver. For one thing, a scammer can simply copy a listing from a genuine seller, using a genuine photo of a genuine item.
Except for a few specific categories of items that go through authentication, eBay never sees what the seller ships or the what the buyer receives, so there is nothing for eBay to check unless someone complains about what was received by invoking eBay's money back guarantee.
Sellers are responsible for the descriptions they provide, and buyers should not assume that eBay screens the listings in advance.
As long as counterfeits exist and there are folks trying to sell them, buyers will still have to be on the lookout for them, and avoid deals that are obviously too-good-to-be-true, whether they are being sold by accounts registered overseas or by domestic sellers wittingly or unwittingly buying counterfeits from overseas to sell here.
Buyers that doubt their ability to distinguish a genuine article from a counterfeit one should only consider purchasing from trustworthy sellers that have an established reputation for delivering exactly what was described, and should avoid deals that are too-good-to-be-true, or deals that are offered by inexperienced sellers that might disappear soon after the transaction is made, or else be prepared to get items authenticated by trusted sources within thirty days to be able to take advantage of eBay's money back guarantee.
