Fake Asian coins.
I hope I've learned my lesson about buying US coins from Asian sellers. I've discovered the hard way that most if not all US coins coming out of Asia are Fakes. I've paid $100's thinking I got a great deal just to find it to be fake. Not proud of that and feel a little stupid for not knowing better. My question is why e-bay tolerates this. I'm sure 1000s of fake coins are coming into the US from Asian dealers. The bad part is many of them may be re-sold as the real deal in the US. It's true that if it's too good to be real, it's likely not real. I would think e-bay would at least require people to describe the coins as fake in the description. OK, got that off my chest. So, my advice to anyone armature to seasoned coin collectors is. DO NOT BUY COINS FROM ANY ASIAN DEALERS, PERIOD.
