Failed purchase by seller
on 12/27/2023 i purchased a water pump from *** for $32.99 plus tax, totaling $35.22 with free shipping by FedX, estimated delivery by 1/4/2024. On or about 1/8/2024 I was refunded the $35.22. FedX tracking showed the item was never shipped, I contacted FedX, a shipping number was asked for but again item was never shipped, so for 13 days not a word from *** about not shipping item, why you might ask. today *** as known on ebay, shows a asking price of $69.00 as of 1/8/2024. now you know why the item was never shipped or even asking myself about shipping another re-placement. Now ebay would not let me contact the seller, why directly, only through ratings was I allowed to express my disappointment. I left a bad review and Ebay asked if they should contact myself about this, I said yes and nothing so far.

Communication is not required by eBay.
If you can’t message the seller then that seller has blocked you, not eBay.
Sellers are allowed to change the prices of their items and don’t need to ask permission from eBay.
ETA the seller probably cancelled the transaction as out of stock when doing that they received a defect for that.

·2 years ago@ebooksdiva I think the issue @jateu_5270 is having is that he ordered something that he probably needed and instead of fulfilling the order, the seller never shipped it and refunded. @jateu_5270 PROBABLY asked one too many times about when his item was shipping and the seller shut him down.
Even though he was refunded, he probably REALLY wanted what he ordered

OP2 years agoI only made contact one time to seller that was after last due date. Why do you think seller blocked me, was it because they were making a fast one and selling my pump at a higher price ?

·2 years agoYes, most buyers really want what they've ordered and would prefer to receive it rather than be refunded.
But, again, eBay has no way to force a seller to ship.

OP2 years agoItem was already purchased at the price they asked for. Yes they may change their cost but not on the one already paid for. What about the item was never shipped ?

OP2 years agoeBay this is for you, why do you not monitor for possible fraudulent action by either a seller or buyer, and take action when confronted with such. The described action by seller shows intent to not sell me the pump at half the cost listed. It shows seller had other intentions by holding my item back to sell at a higher cost. Do something other than nothing.

eBay can’t force a seller to sell nor a buyer to buy.
eBay isn’t going to monitor the millions of buyers a sellers for fraudulent activity, they rely on reports from other buyers and sellers. Getting reports from one person isn’t going to do anything it would have to be more than that for eBay to take notice.
You said you got your money back, you’re beating a dead horse. Move on already.
