FB Marketplace to eBay

I was on Facebook marketplace looking for a road bike came across one great deal. Bike looked great, it actually looks brand new for $1000. The seller was not taking messages by Facebook they wanted you to contact them by email. So I did the seller said they moved because he got a new job and I need it to get rid of the bike quickly because it cost too many memories because her husband died two months ago from a stroke. We were conversation back-and-forth by email. She tells me that the bike is with eBay motors at the bike shop, because she had too much to deal with so they're handling it from this point, so I go on eBay to look for the bike, then she emails me back and says send my name and address and they will send an invoice and more description about the bike no problem. This morning I get an email from eBay with the transaction ID and if I need more info call them at 1-(408) 676-8647 number. The Invoice outline instructions on how to purchase this bike. I'm reading it, I get further down the page it has a list of retail stores and it says go purchase an eBay gift card for half the purschase and call them an with this number off the back. Here is a copy of the instruction they email.

eBay Payments Terms and Conditions

1. eBay accepts the transaction and offers protection to both buyer and seller up to $20,000. The buyer receives the Order containing the transaction details. Upon receiving the eBay Paymentt Terms and Conditions, the buyer also receives instructions on how to make proof of the funds availability.

2. The buyer must purchase eBay Cards in value of the Order Total. eBay Payments verifies the total balance of the cards with the buyer and starts the shipping process within 24 hours. The item is delivered within 3 days and the Buyer benefits of a 5 day inspection period. The eBay Cards and their receipt(s) remain in buyer's possession until the end of the inspection period.

3. At the end of the 5 day inspection period a local eBay agent visits the buyer and the buyer needs to give the agent the eBay Cards and their receipt(s). If the Buyer decides to keep the item, the agent helps him sign the paperwork. If the Buyer refuses the item, the eBay agent refunds the Buyer with cash funds in exchange for the eBay Cards and their receipt(s).

How to purchase the eBay Cards

Payment must be submitted via eBay Cards (up to $500 at most locations) and can be purchased with cash or debit card at thousands of stores nationwide. Go with cash or debit card to the Participating Retail Stores and pick up the eBay Cards from the Prepaid Product Section and take them to the register. The cashier will collect your cash and load it onto the eBay Cards. There are no hidden fees or charges.

Participating Retail Stores include: 7 Eleven, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, Dollar General, Family Express, Kroger, Lowes, Rite Aid, Staples, Winn Dixie, Target, Best Buy, K-Mart, Vons, Meijer, Ralph's, Safeway, Home Depot, Toy-R-Us, Publix, Giant Eagle as you can see in the picture bellow:

You can load up to $500.00 into an eBay Card so buy as many Cards you need for your item. As you are buying an item priced at $1.000.00
you must purchase 5 eBay Cards loaded with $200.00. If you don’t find $200.00 cards you can get the small ones as $100.00 or $50.00 in total amount of $1.000.00
