eBay sure ruined the Watch List with this "Shop similar" **bleep**
What a pain to remove items from your watch list that have ended. It used to be you could easily check off several of the ended watch list items all in a row, but now eBay has decided to pollute the watch list with a bunch of Shop Similar spam. Now you pretty much have to scroll to each item to get past the spam crap eBay is forcing you to see. What a waste of time. I sure wish they would people the option of seeing this spam!

·1 year agoIf you are using a desktop browser it is possible to use an ad blocker's element hiding tool to suppress those "Shop similar" displays.

I'm very grateful my ad-blocker has removed it (though the page really struggles and struggles to display them). The much greater problem is the severe arrogance and belligerence of ebay hierarchy--in pursuit of MORE MONEY MORE MONEY they impose spam after spam after spam. It's a belief that if every time we open our front door fifty salesmen start shouting "BUY THIS! BUY THIS!", there will be more sales and more profit. We just shouldn't have to spend sooooo much time figuring out how to defeat the garbage.

News flash--we are not here for them, they are here for us. What recourse do we have to force them to make the site the way we, the mere peasant USERS, the CUSTOMERS-ARE=THE-BOSSES, want it? How about--OPT OUT?
Can we unionize or something? There's gotta be something we can do.
