Ebay Shipping Supplies - What's Going On?

Second time this has happened... this quarter and last quarter...
On the same day (July 1), my wife and I used our quarterly coupon for Ebay branded shipping supplies. Both orders were for the same item.
Her order arrived at our house two days later.
My ship to address was our local post office with my PO Box number as a unit number. Almost two weeks later, the supplies have not arrived (latest tracking shows 90 minutes from me two days ago).
Both orders shipped same same as the order placed. The odd thing is that I don't think the delay would be the difference in address (the post office is a mile from the house and I get Fed Ex deliveries there with no issue)
Isn't this a little odd?

·3 years agoYes, that does seem a little odd. The fact that both orders were placed on the same day for the same item but one order arrived promptly while the other is significantly delayed is indeed unusual.
It's possible that the shipping method used for the two orders was different, which could explain the difference in delivery times.
Different carriers may have been used for each order, and some carriers may have better or worse service in certain areas.
While you mentioned that you have received FedEx deliveries at your local post office without issues, it's still possible that there could be address-related problems or complications specific to the shipping carrier used for your delayed order.

OP3 years agoSo, to follow up on this thread, rather than start a new one...
I got my order after three weeks. The order was shipped out on time, but took three weeks to get here (to my PO address.. box number is "Unit No. per my local postmaster). I have had my Ebay shipping supplies come to me at the PO address, as well as other Fed Ex and UPS shipments with no issues, in the past.
I was looking at the feedbacks folks have left for them, and it seems I'm not the only one with issues.
Just curious if anyone else here is having issues ordering (and getting) supplies. I mean, I assume we are all sellers ordering these things. Seems to me whoever is fulfilling these orders has slacked off, or maybe has changed hands...

·3 years agoI'm not sure why you're blaming eBay for that? If the order was shipped on time, any delays after that would be the fault of FedEx. I would be asking FedEx what took the order so long to get there once it was shipped.

You do have a buying issue, so yes, this was the appropriate board to post it on.
Have you tried contacting FedEx to ask why there is a delay? You might want to start there and ask them to try and locate it. Maybe it is stuck/lost in a FedEx facility.
This could be a wild guess but if this is the first time you've had ebay branded supplies shipped to your P.O. box, maybe the USPS, decided not to accept the eBay branded. Especially, if they are packed the same way the free USPS boxes are, just as poly strapped stacks of boxes. That is a competitor's shipping supplies after all.

OP3 years agoI've had these shipped to my post office for a couple of years... just the last two orders have been delayed like this.
I've had other Ebay (and non-Ebay) orders shipped to the post office address via FEd Ex and UPS in the same way and never a delay.
It's just odd... Next quarter I'll have the supplies shipped to my house and see what happens.

Just a thought... I assume you are using the street address format for your PO BOX. I know some people use "Unit", "Apt", etc with the box number. I believe the USPS official format uses "#" with the PO Box number. Also, PO Box zip code maybe different than the Post Office zip code.
I apologize if you have already done so, you might verify you are signed up for and using the correct format for the street address version of your PO Box with your local Post Office.
