eBay seller lied about condition of used car.
Greetings.
eBay seller ( has listed and sold many cars on eBay ) said their was no water damage. Did VIN search on vehicle found that it was totaled by insurance company due to flood damage. I reported seller to eBay but due to the thousands of dollars involved I would like to follow up the on report. Is there anything more I can do ?

eBay's standard Report item button if there is one on the listing, would not cover this situation, since ebay motors works differently tan the standard site.
I think your best bet to follow up, would be to contact ebay through either their Facebook or Instagram social media site. (links below) What you will need to provide the rep who handles your report is the seller's username, and the 12 digit item number.
Write out what you found when you did the VIN # search. If the seller didn't post the VIN# on the listing, but sent it to you in an ebay message, ask the rep to check your messages to confirm that. If the VIN was on the listing state that and then add a screen shot, scan or copy of the vehicle report. to the message. sign the message giving your real name and username.
Your report may only get the one listing pulled, if the seller has not been reported before for not mentioning, or giving false information about flood or other damage.
You may also want to try contacting the seller's state Attorney General's office with the information you have. Make sure to mention that the listing was found online on ebay and give them a link to the listing, or better yet print it out, in case the listing gets pulled. Then ask the AG rep, you speak to. if you can add the information to a message.

·2 years agoVehicle sales on eBay differ from the rest of the site. They're governed by state "as is" laws. Ebay expects buyers to inspect a car before completing the purchase and do the research you did. Buyers can walk away at any time before the purchase is finalized.
If you're reporting a car you haven't actually purchased it's highly doubtful eBay will take any action.

·2 years agoBuyers have to check up and inspect them before they pay. The sale is non binding and either party can just walk away for any reason. With used car sales expect them to be a bit oily.

Did you buy the vehicle? Have you received it?
If the vehicle was totaled due to flood damage, then this should be noted on the title, since it should be a either a salvage or a flood/water damage title. If the title status was undisclosed, then you are covered under the Vehicle Purchase Protection plan.
