EBAY SCAMS AND DECEPTION: THE DEMAND REQUEST FOR REFUND AND RETURN OF PAID USPS SHIPPING FEE
I was just scammed by Ebay and a Ebay Buyer with 9 items. Ebay did nothing to protect or safe guard it's company's Consumer Sellers and Buyers. Not knowing Ebay has a long history of scams from their online platform, it puts every person at risk. Further, it appears many agreements for Ebay Policies are changed and many people aren't legally given notice to the same and their Due Process is violated, then in return, Ebay tries to employ their new and current changes with people who have not been legally served by notice.
Any Ebay Victim can file complaints to https://complaint.ic3.gov/ , Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, OCC.gov, Courts, and to their Attorney General's Office, US DOJ, and with the Police. I am a recent Ebay Victim and I have filed complaint with all the above for assistance with Ebay and the fraud, a long with the deceptive tactics, lies, and theft I received.
Ebay did nothing to help or protect me, when Ebay Representatives confirmed on the telephone with the review of the account that the Ebay was clearly abusing the return policy, but later gave them a refund before the 9 merchandise items was returned to me, and let the Ebay Buyer to walk away into thin air, not upholding to legal state and federal laws regarding the matter. Ebay did not help at all, but stood buy and allowed it as a "bad actor" and had unclean hands. Instead of Ebay fixing my matter, the Ebay was not fair because it appears Ebay would communicate with the Ebay "ex parte" to take my 9 merchandise items, at one time. Ebay contended to work with the buyer to help steal the merchandise and give them cash refund on top of it all. Very dishonest and criminal.
I requested a refund, but then Ebay illegal charged my credit card account, then sent me an email stating I initiated the charge, which was a lie and fraud. On top of it all, I paid for the shipping label for my merchandise to be returned and followed Ebay instructions and sent it to the Ebay Buyer only to be ignore after the Ebay Buyer got all their full cash refund of almost $1,000 value of 9 merchandise items and Ebay allowed this, and in return made the Ebay Buyer not hold up up the agreement and send the items back. My Ebay Scam Complaint Letter link.
I asked Ebay for a full refund and the return of the postage. I have asked the Attorney General's Office and Ebay Headquarters, FTC, CFPB, US DOJ, OCC, and US Attorney General's Office for assistance because I understand it's countless scams going on with Ebay in countless states and Ebay has made it very hard resolve anything by calling their Ebay telephone numbers and I have only gotten "end runs" and cat and mouse games from Ebay Representatives who lie over the phone and will not do anything to resolve matters. It very unethical that Ebay knows about this and has done nothing to help me resolve this matter of Ebay "theft by deception."
Ebay gave the buyer the refund before the item was returned which was the reason why the refund was given based on the buyer wanting a refund. Ebay should legally know when you give someone the refund back before the items are returned, the buyer will not return the items. Like you said, Ebay causes sellers to be scammed by Ebay and the buyer, like they are working together.
How did you get your money back? Who did you contact. I just sent several letters to the Attorney General Office. If you didn't know, Ebay had a registered office in each state it does business in, but the HQ is in San Jose, CA. I would like to know your steps for success.

eBay does not have any 800 - 888 direct call phone lines for customer support/service. Any number you found online did not connect you with ebay, but to what are believed to be phishing operations trying to steal your info.
Even if you went through the process to get a call back from an ebay rep, they probably could not help you with what ever your exact issue was since they work for a 3rd party call/chat center and give replies from a playbook provided by ebay that doesn't cover all issues that may pop up.
Since you have not described your issue and did not post using the username you use for selling on ebay, we can only guess that your issue was you did not respond to an Item Not As Described,
INAD or NAD) claim. You were notified by ebay that a claim had been filed and you either tried to fight it, or did not respond within the time frames set down in the Money Back Guarantee (MBG).
You can learn about the seller return policy by opening the link below.

FYI, if you purchased a return shipping label through ebay or directly from a shipping agency, and it is not used after 30 days, you will get a refund for it.

Taking a shotgun approach to try and get legal resolution by filing your complaint with multiple agencies, would probably lead to denial if any of them find out you have filed multiple complaints. If you receive any return correspondence from the organizations you have filed claims with, it will probably be to tell you that you do not have a case, once they review ebay's policies.

·1 year agoGreat job on paragrahing, but the chances of many actually reading all that are slim.
Word to the wise, know eBay policies and operate within those policies. No rocket science involved.

·1 year agoYou're not gonna get anywhere if you don't contact the police investigation bureau of the world wide web Internet agency. I had a little run in with those eBay punks a while back and now they know not to be playing in my eBay room hiding my packing tape from me again.

·1 year agoNot sure how much good all those letters and complaints you have filed will do as it sounds like the problem is that your buyer filed a return claim for 9 items and you did nothing about it. Even if your listings say "no returns", eBay's Money Back Guarantee overrides your terms. No returns does not mean no refunds. If a buyer files a "not as described" claim, you have two choices: issue the buyer a return label and upon your receipt of the item, issue them a refund; or if you don't want the item back, you can just issue a refund. When you ignore or refuse to accept a return and eBay has to step in, they will issue the buyer a refund and let them keep the item. It is not scamming. It's eBay's policy that sellers take care of buyer problems. This is all spelled out in eBay's Money Back Guarantee. Anyone who sells on eBay needs to familiarize themself with the MBG.

·1 year agoYour post is a little confusing. Did you respond immediately to the case with a return label and refund after return? If you did not, and Ebay had to step in, they will immediately refund the buyer, and let them keep the items. You cant send a label after the fact.As far as Ebay charging your cc, you need to read over the U/A you agreed to to sell on Ebay. Its right there in black and white that any owed funds will be removed from your payment source.I wish you good luck with all your legal mumbo jumbo in notifying all those sources, do come back and let us know how it all comes out.

·1 year agoDidn't read all that, but I'm guessing the buyer filed an INAD and you refused to accept the return so Ebay took care of the buyer.

OP1 year agoNo. I wanted to return to happen, and sent the shipping label too. I responded and called Ebay and this happened to me.

·1 year agoI don’t have any interest in reading through 20 pages that are going to be nothing but proof that you don’t clearly understand eBay policies, so you’re looking to put the blame back on eBay.
I’ve been on eBay for over 26 years. Other people on here have been on longer than I have. You’re not going to convince us that eBay is propagating scams everywhere. It’s much easier for us to see that most new sellers don’t realize that don’t truly get to know eBay policy before jumping in with both feet can end up feeling scammed because they don’t understand how things really work.
If you had simply outlined the situation above instead of writing a book, we could’ve told you what went wrong.
