Seller takes money and "ships" item with no tracking. The scam is not obvious before purchase.

·3 years agoAs for the edit done by the moderator, I would gently suggest you might want to check out the rules of the forum before you start posting. Community rules forbid 'naming and shaming' other members in the forums.

·3 years agoIt makes absolutely no difference whether the seller uses tracking. If the item hasn't arrived by the day after the last estimated delivery date you can open a case through eBay's Money Back Guarantee and get a refund. And shipping without tracking isn't necessarily a scam. Sellers aren't required to ship with tracking.

·3 years agoCan't think of a way to express this to you gently, so just have to come out and say it: People are allowed to post here if they want to.
And all the replies you've received are entirely correct: Tracking isn't required by eBay. If a buyer does not receive his purchase, and there is no tracking proving otherwise, the buyer can, and should, open an item not received case.
Do you have a suggestion of another way for that buyer to be made whole?

·3 years agoSellers are not required to ship with tracking. Tracking really isn’t necessary when you can look at the estimated date of delivery. If the item doesn’t arrive by the estimated delivery date you can open an item not received claim. Returns, missing items, and refunds for buyers
