EBAY SCAM
I HAVE BEEN A EBAY CUSTOMER FOR OVER 30 YERAS, NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.... FOR THE MOST PART ALL WAS WELL...NEVER MADE A COMPLANTE... THE OTHER WEEK I BOUGHT A TOOL FROM A EBAY SELLER. THE SELLER SAID HE COULD NOT FIND IT AND THERE WERE A FEW DELAYS... I WAS NOT MAD AND EVENTUALY THE SELLER SENT THE "TOOL" WHEN THE PACKAGE ARRIVED I NOTICED IT WAS VERY LIGHT AND SUSPECTED PROBLEMS.... WHEN I OPEN THE BOX THERE WAS AN OLD JACKET IN THE BOX, NO TOOL... THE SELLER TELLS ME HE SHIPPED IT.. I WENT TOO THE POST OFFICE, AND WAS TOOD BY THE POST MASTER HE BELIEVES THE TOOLS WAS NEVER IN THE BOX.. AS THE BOX WEIGHED LESS THAN AN OZ. I OPEN A CASE WITH EBAY, WHO SEEM TOO PUT ZERO EFFORT INTO. EBAY SAID THERE WAS A TRACKING NUMBER AND IT WAS DELIVERED AND THAT IS AS FAR AS THEY WOULD GO.. SO APPARENTLY YOU CAN SELL AN IDEM ON EBAY PUT A ROCK IN THE BOX AND AS LONG AS I HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER IN EBAYS EYES IT A DONE DEAL.. BEWARE OF THE SCAM..........................

·3 years agoWhat kind of case did you open? It seems that you opened an "item not received" case. That would be the wrong selection because you received a package with that tracking, so it was probably automatically declined.
Did you open an "item not as described" return case? If so you should have, and then the seller would have to send you a shipping label to return the item and get your refund. I think you may still be able to open an "item not as described" case.
Go to your purchase history, https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/v2/purchase and find the item, then click on "more actions", then select "Return this item", then this is the IMPORTANT part.......click on "Doesn't match description or photos" Once you submit that, the seller is notified and has a few days to issue you a return shipping label. When they do, print it and ship it. Keep the tracking number (I just print two labels so I have one with all the info to keep). The tracking should automatically upload, but you will have it just in case. Once it arrives back to the seller, they have a couple days to refund you. If they do not, you can escalate the case to eBay. Also if they do not provide the shipping label you could escalate the case to eBay. You will want to keep an eye on the case so that if there is an issue, once the escalation button is available to you, you can click on it if needed.
Read the eBay Money Back Guarantee to familiarize yourself with the protections afforded buyers. I hope that you just opened the wrong case and didn't make it so you cannot open the correct one, as they are a one shot deal.

·3 years agoTry this, it'll work better then the Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

·3 years agoYou made a mistake. You should have filed a case for item "not as described" rather than "not received."

·3 years agoYou opened the wrong case. You needed to open an item NOT as described case.
