    ebay ripped me off

    I purchased a pool billiards case, but at first it said (untracked) so I thought I would just wait for the item, then the seller sends me a message saying (((( Hello,For some reason, the carrier is unable to deliver to your address, something went wrong and it was returned to me.If you still want it, can you give me another address?If not, I can send it to your current address using a new shipping company I'm very sorry about that Thank you very much ))))), so then the tracking info goes in all of a sudden it says it was delivered but I didn't get anything, it was sent back to the seller, he said they can't deliver to my address, but ebay system says it WAS delivered, so I file a case to at least get a refund, but ebay says I got the case but I didn't, and ebay closed the case without reading the very first message that says the buyer got the item back and was asking me what address to send it to, but I asked to please refund me but they won't, so the seller gets to keep my money and the case. ebay you wrongfully closed my case without reading what the seller said to me.Image 4-10-25 at 2.28 AM.jpeg

    Ebay didn't rip you off, it was the seller from Sri Lanka dropshipping from Amazon that ripped you off.

    @hello-dolly39,

    You filed an item not received (INR) dispute when the tracking had a delivered scan.  The item probably received the delivered scan for being returned to the Drop Shipping Warehouses located in China that all Sri Lankan sellers use for their listings.

      eBay's initial INR system is done by a computer that checks a tracking number for a Delivered scan only. When you received the message telling you the dispute had been closed, there is an appeal button in it you can use.

        However, I would suggest that you contact ebay via one of their social media platforms (links below) and not use the appeal button. While the appeals are handled by a real person, they are not ebay employees, and cannot verify the screen shots of messages you send them.  The social media reps on the other hand are ebay employees, and can verify the messages the seller sent you, they also have to power to issue refunds.

    When you contact ebay using SM have the ebay item number and the seller's username handy. You can write out what happened and add the screen shots, then ask the rep to check your messages. There is enough info there, that the rep who gets your case should issue a refund.

    In the future do not buy from Chinese, Indian, or Sri Lankan sellers. Especially, if the have a feedback percentage below 98.6%  Also check the feedback profile page of any seller you intend to buy from.

    @hello-dolly39

    No.  You can only ask for someone from eBay to "call you".  However, be advised that you will be likely connected to foreign call center reps that can't really help you. The say they will, but they don't.   What you have going on sounds like a variation of the "fake tracking scam" where they purposely send something to an empty lot or an abandoned building  in your  Zip Code.  Not only does this satisfy eBay that delivery (or attempted delivery) has been made, but MAKES IT YOUR FAULT for not supplying the correct address.

    The only people I know you can contact about this that can help you are the US reps ONLY available via the social media portals.

    @mudshark61369 Gave you THREE options, F.Book was only one of them.  Yes, you will have to make an account to be able to use these.  It doesn't mean you have to make friends, share pictures of your cat, or even use the account for anything else.  It is a means to solve your problem.

    Otherwise, if you go to PayPal or your credit card for redress and keep insisting on an "Item not Received" claim you are just going to lose again.

    Good luck!
