Ebay refunded after seller shipped
I ordered something that said the item would be shipped within 7 days, on the 7th day I messaged the seller asking them if they were going to ship and they said they would that day, they didn’t so the next day I asked again and they never responded. Then I opened a INR case with ebay asking for a refund and messaged the seller a couple more times reiterating that I wanted a refund and not the item. The case was set to close 11/1, the seller waited until the last day 10/31 and shipped the item even though I asked for a refund. The next day on 11/1 ebay issued me a refund. What am I supposed to do with the item when it arrives, I asked the seller not to send it and they did anyway and I don’t want to have to pay to return it since I told the seller to refund me instead of shipping

The seller didn’t ship within the stated timeframe, shipped late anyway even though asked to cancel… the seller can eat the shipping - definitely- and then perhaps in the future extend their handling time or consider no longer selling if they are having difficulties and can’t ship on time.

The quickest and simplest thing to do is to refuse delivery of the package when you receive it ... without opening it, of course. That way nobody has to pay for the return shipping.

·2 years agoLet the seller know if he wants it back to send you a return label, or the funds to purchase one. If he doesnt..its yours.
