Ebay payments changed?
When I bought something I could always chose PayPal credit, my bank account or credit card to pay, but as of yesterday it doesn't give me that option, it just has paypal selected, and when I confirm and pay it automatically charges my credit card even though my primary means to pay is my bank account. Does anyone know why? I checked PayPal and my bank account is the primary means I want to pay not my credit card.

If you mean that when you check out of eBay and select PayPal, you are not able to choose a specific payment method in your PayPal wallet but one is automatically selected for you, in that case go to your eBay Payments page in your eBay account and delete the entry for PayPal that appears there.

The next time you check out on eBay and choose PayPal, you should be sent to your PayPal wallet page and given a chance to pick a specific payment method.

So in your PayPal Wallet you have your bank account set as your 'Preferred method while shopping online'? If so, that's odd...

OP1 year agoYes I do. I've checked it repeatedly and it shows my bank account as my preferred payment, but ebay charges my credit card instead.

·1 year agoThe PP Credit and/or the Pay in 4 options are not available for buyers when sellers utilize the "pre-authorization" option for offers or auctions. As I understand it, you can still "change" the method after an auction ends (within an hour)....or something like that

OP1 year agoThanks, I just wanted to pay directly from my bank account, but for some reason ebay took the money out my credit card instead. Luckily I had enough to cover it, but it no longer gave me the option to pick which account I wanted to take the money out of like it usually did.
