Reading most of the posts on this forum, I realise that scams and fraud are simply ignored. I have accepted the loss and learnt a lesson. Rather pay more and buy on Amazon.

eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers is very good if used correctly and in a timely fashion.

Did you open an item not as described case? Did you follow up in 96 hours?

Did the seller send you a prepaid return label? If not, did you ask eBay to step in so you'd get a refund without having to return the item? You seem to have left off those crucial details in the several messages you posted about this issue.

I had a buyer who wanted to mail his purchase to his aunt in Portugal due to mail problems in South Africa.

I think it depends on your address and not eBay in general. And a lot of Amazon sellers are also selling the same items on eBay and are the same sellers selling on more than one site...
