Ebay mastercard by Synchrony statement fee? Shouldn't Ebay waive fee for buyers & sellers?
Hello.
Any received notice regarding the fee Synchrony bank will charge a $1.99 fee for paper statements?
This seems odd since I only applied for it since Ebay sponsors the card for purchases and receive points. If this will be the case, ebay should return w/My Bucks since there is no fee.
This seems unfair. I have no decided if I want to keep the card. Not feeling very secure with online banking at times.
What do you think?
Thank you.

There's a lot of places starting to charge for paper copies.

·2 years agoSynchrony is not exactly a high end credit card issuer. Like some low cost airlines, extra fees can be quite commonplace. Your quota of frill is the Ebay points.
My choice of card has a 2% cashback automatically transferred to my brokerage account, no currency conversion charges on my international purchases, and an assortment of benefits I use about once a year,

Is it an issue? Do you need paper statements, or is that an option that you could live without?

·2 years agoAs costs to produce them have risen a large percentage of credit card issuers have started charging a fee for paper statements. If you don't agree with the fees the solution is to cancel the card. But eBay has nothing to do with it. It's totally a Synchrony decision.
eBay sponsors the card pays Synchrony bank a fee to put the eBay name on the card as a promotional gimmick, Synchrony bank has control and charges the fee.
You would need to take that up with Synchrony.
