EBay is complicit in enabling fraudulent Sellers
I placed an order with a Seller, for a BISSELL Carpet Cleaner, 16-13320-07875. The Seller indicated that delivery was 7-10 business days out and then within 3 days of placing the order I received a Delivery Complete notice. There was no delivery made to my home and I researched with UPS the disposition of the UPS Tracking number provided by this Seller. UPS provided photographic proof of delivery of a kitchen step stool to another address. Apparently Sellers can enter ANY Tracking number they wish and provide that as evidence they have performed on the transaction and eBay does no verification of that. Upon further research of this Seller, I found 2 additional negative complaints in the past month of the same scam. eBay is NOT looking out for your buying protection, but instead providing a platform to perpetrate fraud and theft to bad actors.

·1 year agoThe same thing happened to me this week with the same seller. When I called UPS because my package hadn’t arrived after I received an email that said it was delivered they told me that the tracking number was in two names neither one being mine. The woman at UPS said when they see that it means there has been fraud so I immediately tried to contact Ebay, which I couldn’t and I called my bank and they’re handling this.

The time to do your research is Before buying from any seller. Besides the 2 negatives did you happen to notice the seller's country of registry and the fact that most of their feedback was from very low (feedback #) buyers?
Another indication of a possible fraudulent listing was the item location.

For tracking to show delivery within 3 days it is possible if you look at the tracking history that the label was created before you made the purchase. If that is the case open the dispute, click on the Appeal button and post a screen shot of the tracking info. That would be cause for for a reversal of the decision and a refund.
They currently have no items listed so maybe ebay is on their case.

·1 year agoeBay is not complicit with fraudulent sellers they can only go by what tracking shows and have no way of knowing where the item is actually delivered as long as tracking shows delivery to your zip code. If you go to UPS and get a written statement with an official letterhead of UPS saying the item was not delivered to your address, you maybe able to appeal eBays decision.
