Ebay illegally charged VAT when Item delivered to Switzerland
According to the law, there is no tax and no VAT when an item is delivered to Switzerland with a total price of 65 Swiss francs. In reality it added 10%. It is illegal.

You have posted your issue, on ebay's U.S. based site's community https://community.ebay.com .
In the U.S. we do not have VATs. You may get more relevant responses if you go to your home site's Community. UK, www.ebay.co.uk or Switzerland, (www.ebay.ch)

OP11 months agoIf you live in Switzerland , it is irrelevant where you get product from. From UK EUR or from any other country.
There are no extra charges for anything which cost less than 65 CHF (including postage).

You are located in the UK, did you buy something and have it shipped to Switzerland? If you did what country was the item shipped from? If the seller was located in the UK, VAT is normally not charged at the point of purchase because of brexit. It is due when it reaches the EU country.

·11 months agoSorry but eBay follows the tax and duties of international countries import laws. If the item qualifies for Vat you are charged. You would have seen that charge prior to clicking PAY Now button.
Plus you are registered in the UK so there’s that.
