eBay hides listings when doing searches.
When I am looking to buy, doing searches is a key element. eBay constantly makes it difficult. I can do a basic search and get 1000 results, any type of refinement will reduce the results dramatically. Even a refinement to ending soonest will reduce results to 300. Going thru the list confirms that they have deleted listings from the search.
I am a small seller also, and find this disheartening, that my items are probably almost never seen. This is the new eBay, no wonder they have fallen to #3, and are likely to continue the fall.

·8 months agoIt makes sense that refining will give you fewer listings because it narrows down.
If I search for a blue cup, it will obviously show me few listings than if I search for a cup.
There is no nefarious plot here.

·8 months agoRefining a basic search will always give you fewer results than the basic search did. That is how searches work. It is not some nefarious ebay trick.
If you want to sell more, list items people want to buy. Don't try to blame the search for poor sales.
