eBay Enables Mail Fraud and ID Fraud
Ebay Willfully Exposed, Enabled and Facilitated a Mail Fraud Fake Label Scram and ID Fraud to Damage me for nearly $1000. Ebay was acted as a partner in this criminal act. Even with Proof of Mail Fraud from the USPS. Yes... eBay has some either very dishonest and very Stupid people in Customer Service that have enabled Mail and Identity Fraud. Now I have a huge problem to deal with!

·1 year agoI had something like that happen to me. The buyer said the item was damaged, and filed a claim. I paid to have it returned, and what I got was a small padded envelope with 7 pieces of gravel in it. It was not my address, but my zipcode, the tracking number showed delivered. It was actually delivered to an address in town. The post office gave me a picture of the address label, as they knew it was a scam. It has been going on for many years. The thief / scammer was upset when I filed a claim with the postal examiner. Ebay told me tough luck basically, as it showed "delivered" to my zipcode. I still have all evidence, thinking of mailing it to ebay, but no telling if they would even read it.

·2 years agoDo you have an actual letter from USPS stating the information or just printouts and emails, which is pretty much worthless.

Since you did not post the following info in your original topic, you made it hard for others to understand. When you want help with something you need to give the details of what happened. Even the following is short on details, but we can probably now guess from it what has happened.
"The USPS did a full report, which was sent to eBay and the idiots didn't understand or open the USPS Documents showing the Mail Fraud".
Unless there is more you have not told us. You have been the victim of a fake tracking scam. The seller's send something, an envelope or small box with tracking to a different address, and uses the Delivered scan to win an Item Not Received (INR) dispute. eBay's automated INR system is not allowed access to anything but the scan information, due to shipping company's privacy policies. eBay's reps cannot get specific label information from a shipper because they are neither the sender or recipient.
When you file an initial dispute it will be closed in favor of the seller. In the message you receive telling you that, there should be an appeal button. You have 30 days from losing the dispute to appeal, but in order to win you have to do some leg work. The info below is what you have do do when this happens with any shipping agency.
You will have to go to your P.O. or a local UPS or FedEx store. You need to bring a copy of your order details page which shows your address and the tracking number with you. If you bought using a phone or tablet, you can bring that to show the clerk the order details. In the case of FedEx and UPS, if you can call them first and get them to send you an email saying the label's address does not match yours. bring a copy of that or your device with the email, with you to one of their stores.
eBay will not accept an email as proof, of anything, because emails can be faked.
You want to ask the clerk to check the label address against yours on the order details page, and also to check the Package type/size/weight info to see if was is appropriate for what you should have received. If the info does not match up, you ask the clerk to write a note on Company stationary saying in general that the shipping label's address was not yours, and if applicable that the package type/size/weight was not right for what you should have received. If needed to get a clerk to do so, Show them a copy of the email, which may get the clerk to agree to writing the note. explain that ebay doesn't accept emails. Do not ask them to write specific address or package info, they cannot give it out. Have the clerk print their name then sign and date the note.
Once you have the note, you can appeal the dispute ruling, if you have lost an appeal already, you contact ebay through their Facebook or Instagram social media pages. (links below) You can write out what happened in the message, and what you found out, and add a CLEAR photo or a scan of the note to an Appeal or message. If you go the social media route which is recommended, but not always necessary, if you get the info before filing an appeal. The social media reps know about the fake tracking scams and can authorize a refund, but you will need to have the seller's username and the ebay item number. At the end of your message give them your real and ebay username. It can take a couple of days before you get a reply.

In the future I strongly suggest that you check the feedback profile pages of each seller you intend to buy from, before bidding on or buying their items. You can access a seller's feedback profile page from near the bottom of listing pages. Use the See All Feedback button below where their name is in a large font. On the profile page if the seller has received neutral or negative feedback, click on the numbers of them to read only those comments. Never go by a feedback percentage alone. Some people who have been scammed but did not file a dispute may have left feedback saying they never received their items.

OP2 years agoThanks for this information. I'm not going to beg eBay to try to educate them. I have moved on to PayPal to take a look at the report and Geo-Tracking detail I received from the USPS. The USPS even supplied a picture of the 2.2 LBS. envelope that has the tracking number, however, has a different address than mine. It was Geo-Tracked and delivered to that written address and scanned as being delieverd to my address. The seller even provided eBay with a fake Proof of delivery notice complete with a misspelled forged signature, my name is not BaZZy The post office also debunked this fake notice. eBay is too stupid to check, because if they did eBay would have instantly found out that this conformation DOES NOT EXIST on the USPS data base. Oh by the way a guitar was 22LBS as the seller filled in to the eBay shipping bot. Ebay is too stupid to note that the seller must have gotten a BIG Refund from the USPS on shipping, since the item tracked weight is 2.2lbs eBay sided with this **bleep** first time Zero feedback lister. I have been with eBay for over 25 years, have over 3200 100% feedback, 5 stars in all areas, and these idiots sided with Fraud, Oh BTW I found the exact guitar on Facebook with Seyge Lepkin in Russia, Shame on eBay. You can't educate idiots I suppose.

·2 years agoYou may wish to review the below once you've calmed down if you want your money back. This whole fake tracking scam works better if you're upset because you'll lose sight of what it is you need to do otherwise you can kiss that money good bye.
So the problem is certain sellers who are clearly scammers send an empty / small parcel or envelope to an address near you (but could even be a non-existent address) all just to get the delivery scan. The tracking number is real, as is the scan, where the fraud exists and the reason it works so good is because as you just found out there's AI behind it all and the scammers are using a loophole that humans can not spot as you've also found out... So you will lose any and all "Item Not Received" claims, and it doesn't matter how many different places you open a case through because once you lose on ebay the paypal will simply close their case because "you already did that on ebay and lost" and the same is true of the credit card company.
The only way I know of to get your money back is to open a return for "Item Not as Described" since you clearly did not receive what you ordered (although it may not make sense, you were delivered nothing. And nothing is not what you ordered, hence item not as described). Once this return is opened the seller must ACCEPT the return *or* you can have ebay step in a few days and the MBG will kick out a refund. Should the seller accept the return the seller must then issue a shipping label *or* you can have ebay step in a few days and the MBG will kick out a refund. Should the seller actually issue a shipping label (this is rare because it means the scammer will have to spend money) you simply ship back what you received which is nothing at all, find an envelope or a box just large enough that you can place the shipping label onto... Then insert nothing into the envelope or box, tape it shut or seal it, put the label on your box or envelope that contains the nothing you received and send it off. Once the return's tracking number shows delivered you can get your refund through the case per the MBG.
Hope that made sense.

Looks like you've had no problem leaving negatives.

·2 years agoClearly online buying isn't for you with that feedback you leave your sellers.
If you left a seller negative feedback and it was removed, it's probably because
a) you didn't work things out with the seller
b) you didn't open a return or file an INR.
The Feds have better things to do than worry about someone's buying issues.

·2 years agoEbay has nothing to do with 'proof of delivery'- they simply 'pass on' the information that USPS gives them.
Take it up with USPS.

OP2 years agoThanks Mr. Wrong, they didn't check out the credibility and USPS DO NOT Send it, the seller did, USPS said the was a fake Doc., It was an easy Fake to spot, looked totally fake, obviously they are totally useless, these idiots closed the case against me, using this piece of fraud. The USPS did a full report, which was sent to eBay and the idiots didn't understand or open the USPS Documents showing the Mail Fraud. Duh, do you work for eBay you sound as bright?
