Ebay doesnt care about buyers, cant not take my refund in a item i didn't received
I just had the worst experience in eBay, I bought a $600 espresso machine, using my pay pal account which gives me some kind of support. But the nightmare began when the sellers did not respond to my message, 3 days after i received the tracking number, for my surprise that tracking number was about a different item that arrives the day I make the purchase, at that point I supposed that something was wrong, immediately request a cancellation from the seller , the seller never respond , eBay support neither. After this I went to pay pal to claim a refund for a item i didn't receive, I still having trouble with pay pal because they assume the tracking number it is real, but was not, never received the espresso machine . Seems that scamming is a big problem now o eBay, they can hack you in very different ways. Im still fighting with Paypal to get the refund of my money.

·1 year agoYou are likely a victim of the typical eBay "fake tracking scam". Get the "item not received" idea out of your head. So long as there is a "delivered" scan associated with your order, you are going to lose any case you file anywhere you file it if you keep insisting on INR. Of course, there are no other choices provided to you by eBay that addresses this scenario. nor are there any published policy with regards to how to proceed.
PayPal had a choice in their dropdown menu "Shipped to wrong address" just for victims of this scam. Hopefully, they will allow you to change your reason. Same with a credit card chargeback. Should PayPal throw you under the bus, only file FRAUD/FAKE TRACKING SCAM/WRONG ADDRESS with your card company. Otherwise your claim will be submitted to eBay who replies with the same phony delivery information and you are going to lose again.
This is a very popular scam here that has been going on for over a decade. Since your seller is "no longer a registered user" it may help your PayPal case. Once you go to PayPal, you absolve eBay from ever having to help you, and any open eBay case you have regarding this problem will be closed.
Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

·1 year agoFirstly, this is very well known trick where seller sends out a valid tracking number destined to your zip code. I suppose even this tracking number's hacked. They know eBay doesn't care as long as tracking number's valid. You are taking a big risk when you click on that buy button to submit your payment. There is no money back protection from eBay so let's be clear on that.
Due to increased number of claim even the Paypal is now pushing back. You have to get an official letter from your local post office to confirm the item was never sent to your address. If the item was indeed sent but not item described as garbage, not sure how the post office verify it.
So the moral of story is that you avoid spending anything more than 20 bucks on eBay. Trust me you get more frustration than paying a little more at AMZN for item you really want.

·1 year ago@saupachec-24,
Unfortunately, going through the first phase of ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG), their computers do search of a tracking number for a Delivered scan only. Not the date or location of when or where the scan was was posted. However, when a first dispute is turned down, in the message telling you that, there is an Appeal button you can use that allows you to add proof of when or where a Delivered scan was posted if it shows in the tracking. A scan date showing Delivered, on the date you bought the item is all the proof you needed, to get a refund.
The seller just disappear, it is not longer a registered seller on eBay.
You can add that information to your PayPal claim, and that should be enough for them to issue a refund. eBay is who closed the seller's account. Sellers cannot just quit ebay, they have to wait at least 6 months after their last sale, before ebay will allow them to close their account.

·1 year agoIf I'm understanding correctly, you received an item, just not the thing you bought. Requesting a cancellation through ebay would do no good that late. You should have opened a 'not as described' case through ebay as the first step. At this point you'll have to attempt appeals of your paypal case (they'd consider 'not received' as the wrong case type as you actually received an item, same deal as ebay).

·1 year agoIt seems like the OP did not receive ANYTHING AT ALL.
The tracking # was not for the item that he's referring to.
He now needs to handle this through Paypal, as advised by others.

Hopefully you paid with a CC from your PayPal wallet. If so, your last claim should be made with the CC. Good luck.

·1 year agoYou should have filed with eBay first for non receipt once the estimated delivery date had passed.
PayPal is your last resort.
soh.maryl
·1 year agoThat would not have worked because eBay would have seen the tracking information which showed delivered and would not have responded.
saupachec-24
OP1 year agoThat exactly happens, working with PayPal for now
