Ebay Doesn't Care
I purchased 5 sleeveless T-shirts from the seller in china. That should have been my first clue. Anyways I received the sleeveless T-shirts only to find out that their version of a 2XL is not even close to what a 2XL size shirt is. Tried to return them only to have the seller give me a return address in Chinese
How in the world do I ship these back to this address. This fraudulent seller knows darn well that people are not going to send the mistakes back and the worst thing about is that Ebay won't help out at all with the issue. Goodbye Ebay. Account cancelled.

·1 year agoI recently dealt with a similar problem. Knowing up front about the sizing differences, I ordered 3 pairs of leggings in size 3XL for myself only to find that they would not fit me (size medium/tall) but would also not fit my tiny little daughter who wears a US size 02. The fit was not the only problem with the leggings. The dye bled on EVERYTHING including my hands, my bedspread, my bathroom countertops, my bathrobe, etc. I was so angry that I left a long message on the seller's website and wrote directly to eBay. The seller did not respond but eBay removed the item and the seller - only to have the items reappear under a different store name. It was not worth it to me to re-package the leggings I bought and drive to the UPS Store to return them, so I just lost the money I spent. For the past week I have been looking for a white blouse and came across Item # 375756940648 described as: "Women (sic) Mesh Lace Hollow Blouse Turtleneck Tops (sic) Splicing Bottoming Slim Fit" selling for $9.99. The size chart shows bust sizes as direct quotes: "M=29.1" L=30.7" XL=32.2 2XL=33.8 3X=35.4" My bust size is a regular, average size US 36B and in no way do I consider myself larger than a size 3XL. I do not understand why eBay continues to allow these vendors to sell sub-standard items with no recourse to the buyers.

·2 years agoChinese merchandise looks attractive to some people because of the low prices but you’ve obviously learned a lesson here.
The seller sent you the shirts that you ordered and that were as described.
They are not at fault here.

Where did you think you would return the shirts before making a purchase?
And Amazon will be letting Chinese sellers in China sell their products on Amazon very soon...no way around it.
And a 2XL is probably a small in China compared to USA people.

·2 years agoLately most of the listings I see on Amazon are from Chinese sellers. Most of them seem to use FBA to provide overnight delivery, but the descriptions are a dead giveaway. When the description sounds like it was translated from Chinese to German and then to English it's more likely than not a Chinese seller.

·2 years agoChinese sellers have been allowed on Amazon since 2013. A bunch of them got their accounts cancelled for manipulating reviews in 2022 but China wasn’t banned.

In reality, this place has MUCH better than most of those....

·2 years agoEveryone who purchases clothing made for the Asian markets knows this, it’s posted on several places in the sellers advertising even the measurements are given it even states that they are Asian sizes and run much smaller than USA sizes.
Just give them away, not such a big deal. You have to vet your sellers, you were looking for impossibly cheap from China but you didn’t read the description at all. I don’t want to sound rude but this is all on you. Accept responsibility.

·2 years agoThe listings have a chart with the item’s actual measurements: did you look at it or did you just go by what you feel a 2XL should be?

·2 years agoRight, China sizes are different then US sizes and that's why you go by the measurements they provided in the listing.
Run the address through Google Translate to get an English version.

Then you go up two to three sizes.
If you wear a 2XL buy a 5XL.
This is less true of Indian made clothing, if you are looking for inexpensive items.

·2 years agoYup, it is even stated in the listing that sizes are "Asian", and to go larger.
As 2X is the largest offered. That should alert buyers to consider what they are buying may fall short of their needs, but.......................................... perhaps that info was not included in the listing at time of purchase.
I sort of thought that most adults were aware that the sizing runs small on such items, but apparently not.
Buying online is not for everyone.

·1 year agoEven using Google Translate doesn't help with the actual size difference. If the Chinese seller's size chart lists a size 3XL top as 35.4" that is still smaller than a US size 36B. I wear a US size 8 but can barely fit into a Chinese size 3XL. I just stopped buying any clothing on eBay that comes from China.

·2 years agoThis how I understand returns to sellers outside the US.
You are supposed to find out what it will cost to return the items. Then you get with the seller to reimburse you through PayPal for the shipping.
I google translated the address it was quite simple.

·2 years agoThis only applies if the item is not as described. If the shirts are marked 2XL, then it's a 'doesn't fit' return, which would require the buyer to pay return shipping.
