at issue;
this is for a "2-pack" of batteries
the seller only sent one (1)
Seller admits to only sending one (1)
but Ebay still sided with the seller because he could show a "delivery" invoice;
note: "yes" one (1) battery was delivered - but I bought a two pack - and Ebay refused to consider it
beware Ebay buyer protection
because they do NOT

We're sorry you had a problem with your purchase. However, the seller provided tracking information that shows the item was delivered to your address.
After reviewing all the details of this case, we determined that you won't receive a refund.

You can still get a refund for MISSING PARTS OR PIECES ... because your seller will not be sending the second battery, that's for certain.
Just click RETURN THIS ITEM to start the request, to keep the battery you received and return the missing battery for your refund. After that, use the refund to buy the second battery from another seller.

·8 months agoYou've opened an Item Not Received claim. As you found out, you'll lose that with a 'Deliverd' scan. Now, you need to open a Return request, citing that the item you got was 'Not as Described'. You'll either receive a return shipping label (to return your half-pack to the seller) for a full refund, or simply a refund if your seller doesn't want the single back. If you have neither after 3 days, return to the case and escalate it to eBay. You'll be made whole. Good luck.

OP8 months agoI don't want to send the one (1) Battery back
I want the 2nd battery
I bought a 2-pack on purpose
I asked Ebay to make the seller honor the 2-pack advertisement
all Ebay did was to cancel the Seller's listing

·8 months agoWell, if you don't want to send your half-order back, enjoy it. Were it me, I'd rather not lose money. Carry on...

·8 months agoThat is not how the ebay money back guarantee works. You need to follow policy to get coverage for a full refund.

·8 months agoI would send that 1 battery back and get a refund, then buy legit batteries

·8 months agoThat's not eBay "default[ing] on Buyer Protection Policy", that's you not wanting to follow the rules of the one they have. There's a big difference.

@genlock07
Since it hasn't been provided to you yet, Here's the policy to follow. >> eBay Money Back Guarantee policy

·8 months agoI agree 100% with you and feel like it is shameful what has happened to you. I'm in a wheelchair and mailing back items is not always easy. I think a lot of these members of this community answer as if they are eBay staff and don't have a developed sense of right from wrong. It's unfortunate that so many fail to have the courage to hold eBay or sellers accountable in doing what is right, at the most basic level. This forum has become a place where many of
the "regulars" seem more interested in getting up votes from the other regulars even if what they say is incorrect or unhelpful. A buyer shouldn't have to own an eBay law book to know how to navigate the complex eBay platform or be blamed when reaching out for help. Thank you for bringing these sad examples and truths that highlight the eroding confidence of buyer and seller alike.

·8 months ago@genlock07 It is NOT about 'what you want'.
The system is:
return 'whatever' for a refund if you did NOT get what you ordered.
Ebay has NO WAY for force ANYONE to do ANYTHING.
Like trying to get the NY Times to force 'Mattresses R Us' to give you 'whatever'. Ebay is nothing but a modern day 'newspaper' when sellers 'list' things for sale.
Simply NOT what this site (or any) has the capability to do.

·8 months ago@genlock07 you opened the 'wrong type' of return for refund" reason. 'Not Received' is when NOTHING is received. If tracking shows 'received' then the item is 'Not As Described' as the automated system first looks at 'tracking' to see if a Not Received is valid.
It was not valid.
So, try opening a 'Not as Described' return for refund case.

·8 months agoWhat kind of case did you open? If it was for item not received, thats wrong. It should be for item not as described. You should be able to go back and reopen the correct case.
