Ebay contact?
On March 21 Ebay messaged me that they were going to look into my complaint about getting credit for a item that came damaged and when the seller doesn't accept returns. I haven't heard back. I don't know how to reach Ebay. There is no case number. How do I reach Ebay to check the disposition.

If you opened a "dispute" through ebay by clicking on the More actions or Return box to the right of the item title in your purchase history, the dispute will show up on your My eBay Summary page. If you click on it, you will be able to view any messages from ebay. Seller responses should be in it as well. If there is no reply from the seller within 3 days with either a link to print a return shipping label or saying a refund has been initiated if the seller doesn't want the item back. On day 4 you can click on the Ask ebay/us to step, in button. They will issue a refund from the seller's account.
You have up to 30 days from receiving an item to file a not as described dispute, and 30 days from filing one before it expires for taking action, in which case you would not get a refund.

·2 years agoAs mentioned in the other post, the seller's return policy is not relevant if the item is damaged or otherwise not as described in the listing. Here's a link to eBay's buyer protection policy, which they call the "Money Back Guarantee":

·2 years agoYou mention a complaint to eBay. Did you actually go through the process to open an item not as described return? You do that by going to the item in your purchase history, clicking Return, then selecting the item was not as described as the reason. Ebay then gives the seller three business days to respond. On the fourth business day you have to go back to the case and ask eBay to step in. They'll then either send you a return label or refund without requiring a return. The process is completely automated.

·2 years agoThe seller's no return policy means nothing if you open a NAD (not as described ) case.
If you follow the instructions to the letter, you'll be refunded. No need to contact ebay, it's all done with bots these days.
