eBay closes dispute although seller and shipping fraudulant Caveat emptor
I bought two iPhones which showed as delivered and weren't. I noticed strange ship location and found it was amazon and not my product. I alerted eBay so no more would be sold. Tracking number shows delivered even though proof of delivery shows wasn't my house, package was way too large, and UPS confirmed Amazon product and delivered to completely different location.
I alerted my CC who gave temp credit but eBay told CC it was delivered. CC recharged me because eBay still showed delivered even though I said it wasn't and then they closed case as I mentioned I'd open case with CC. eBay's only concern was a payout from their guarantee. I filed a dispute which was overturned by CC charging me back BECAUSE eBay INSISTED A PRODUCT THEY DIDN'T SELL AND DELIVERED TO HOUSE NOT MINE AND DIDN'T LOOK LIKE MINE they closed the case. There is no way for me to contact aBay as the case is closed, can't appeal, can't send all proof and I have all and can't speak to a human. Event there bot won't speak to me.
As far as I'm concerned they are part of this fraud for ack of vetting vendor and allowing fraudulent activity to be proved.
I'm not done and since I have the detailed information I will pursue a criminal case against eBay.
Caveat emptor!

·4 months agoPursue the case against you bank, they are the ones not protecting you. When you contact the fraud department of your CC, make the claim, "I am the victim of the fake tracking scam". Provide the statement from UPS that the said delivered item was not to your address.
As said, once you contacted the bank, eBay will no longer provide any assistance, they are out of the picture.... it's now just you and your payment source.

Sorry, but once you go to your credit card, Ebay will no longer help.
Get written proof from the carrier stating the package was not addressed or delivered to your address and use it to appeal your credit card case.

EBay seems to be having a hard time learning to deal with the fake tracking scam (although I'm curious why you think they have any idea what your house looks like). Your best course of action now is to go to your card issuer's fraud department, report a fake tracking scam, and appeal there.

Probably from a Google search. If you give someone your address, perhaps via an eBay transaction, they can Google it then drop down to a walking view and see your house ... assuming their camera car has been down your street. Ours are all mapped here, so I assume yours are too.

·4 months agoI'm perfectly aware of Google Street View. The disconnect is thinking that eBay has the resources to Google the street view of each of its 135 million users.

·4 months agoYou are dealing with individual sellers not Ebay. Ebay is the selling platform. Ebay only goes by tracking number. If it states delivered which it does then unfortunately in your case Ebay will side with the seller. Now you contacted your credit card company so yes try to appeal the overturn. If that doesn't work then it's a loss for you. This is a tracking scam by a seller. Advice would be review feedback before purchase, review profile before purchase, avoid dealing with International sellers especially China. When reviewing feedback if the seller isn't established do not buy from them. IPhone listings have a high scam rate.
