eBay buyer payment issues
eBay received my wire, which was a large number for a purchase had told me through customer service. It would take 3 to 5 business days for this wire to be applied towards the payment six days later it was never applied and the seller was very dissatisfied which I understand And reposted the item that I purchased meanwhile, I still haven’t heard from a customer service representative with regards to Y and if I’m gonna get my wire money back, can anybody assist me because supervisors don’t respond especially after I called no less than 10 times in a few days I have no less than 8 to 10 hours of speaking to customer service baseline representatives that do nothing but look at a computer and guess what’s gonna happen next very confused and it seems like they’re disorganized at the higher level to return calls

·5 months agoGot to wonder why the OP has to keep dancing around providing the listing number which would be shown in purchase history?
No one here can see what was bought and frankly, wire transfers are outside most of the people that try and helps wheelhouse.
The community platform responders are not eBay employees; we are other buyers and sellers that volunteer our time to try and help so would not be privy to what is going on with this transaction so cannot help beyond giving suggestions on how to move forward.

You still have not told us if you found the listing on a site like Craig's List, Marketplace, Let go... etc. That info is crucial to us. It would also be helpful to know what it was that you bought in general. Like a Car, Boat, Property, large industrial item/machine...
If the seller has relisted the item open it and copy the URL link then paste it to a reply.

·6 months agoIf your wire hasnt applieed yet, it may still be processing. Contact eBay support and request escalation to the payments team, and confirm with your bank that the wire was sent succesfully. If it can’t be applied, the money is usualy returned to your account.

OP5 months agoThe wire was sent February 26. I got notification on March 1 that it was received. It would be processed in a few business days usually 3 to 5 business days as the representative told me on March 7 I got an email stating order was canceled for nonpayment here we are March 10th and both money was not returned and still waiting for answers

Would you please post the item number of the listing you bought?

I'm concerned because you say you "called no less than 10 times in a few days". EBay has no inbound customer service phone number. They have to call you back. If you called a number you found on Google or received in an email you were quite likely talking to scammers.

No eBay did receive wire
I have emails directly saying they got
If you received an e-mail from ebay saying the payment was received, that is wrong. Wire payments and all other payments are sent directly to a seller. You may get a payment was sent email but that's about all.

Please do not tell us that you found an item usually a vehicle, on another site and were told that ebay would handle the transaction. You received an official looking form and payment instructions. If that is what happened, it is very doubtful you will see your money again. It was a variation of a very old scam.

·6 months agoThe (important) missing information is this:
1). Where did you find the item? ON the eBay site, or on another site that said “eBay will handle the sale”
2). What is the item?
We really need that information to advise you correctly.

·6 months agoI would not count on emails as proof, as they can be more easily faked than many other things.
Did you find and purchase the item on ebay.com, or did you find it on another site that said eBay would handle the transaction?
We simply don't have enough detail to know yet whether this was a legitimate transaction or if you've been scammed, and it would be great if you would provide enough detail for us to help you.

·6 months agoContact your bank now and see if the wire can be reversed.
It sounds like you found a random number which isn't eBay but actually a scammer and wired them money.
When you purchase something from eBay, you use a credit or debit card or you use PayPal which could be linked to your checking account. You don't call eBay and you don't wire money.
