·3 years agoYour absolutely right, and nobody at ebay gives a hit. I have been fighting ebay for removing negative feedback even though I have proved my case and the Representative agrees with me. They just tell me there is nothing they can do. Siding with a seller that sells fake diamonds on their site even after they have been caught. And are allowed by Ebay to keep doing it with 100% positive feedback. They do not care about me or you or anyone else that will eventually get ripped off with their knowledge. They should be prosecuted.

When things go bad. It's a headache involving paperwork you don't have time or energy to deal with.
As a non wealthy person, I've had to hire attorneys for different things when life goes sideways. I hate it.
I've had to fill out paperwork with the state's attorney general to help out elderly victims. I hate it.
As posted in your replies, there is a process.
That said, you shouldn't have to spend an hour on a five minute purchase.
Is that eBay's fault? No. That's the seller's fault. (I assume)
It's a pain. It's a time waster. And it sounds like your time is valuable.
I've posted before, not everyone has time to earn college credit in EBAY policies and procedures.
It's an environment all its own. It can be VERY complicated.
I'm sorry this happened to you. I've had good luck with Amazon.

·3 years agoIn my message, I asked the OP if he had read the eBay Money Back Guarantee for buyers.
To the best of my knowledge, he has not yet replied to my question.
If he reads the MBG and follows its directions, he has no reason or need to waste any time on pursuing a refund. All he needs to do is open the appropriate question that fits his particular problem. And he can do this whether he's rich or poor. And it involves no paper work.

·3 years agoOK Fred,,,,, you're upset eBay is not taking bad sellers off eBay? You say you're screwed but if you are it's because you're not taking the time to request a return or let them know there's a problem.
Maybe eBay isn't for you if you find out that's too much of a hassle.

·3 years agoI agree with Fred, Ebay is not taking bad sellers off the platform. They will do anything to not remove them though. Fred probably had high hopes for a smooth transaction. Refunds can be gotten, but I have also had a hell of a time getting some of mine. I feel for him...

·3 years agoHave you read the Money Back Guarantee? Does it not apply in your situation? There is no hassle to getting a refund if you read the MBG and use it in a timely manner.
How about returning and giving us the details. We would like to help if we can.

·3 years agoAnd you've been given help, which you've acknowledged with nothing but hostility. You're covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee. The process is simple and fully automated. And it's certainly no more hassle than a police report and a chargeback.
As for eBay policing its sellers, there are 1.7 billion listings on any given day and 20+ million sellers. How exactly do you think eBay can vet every listing and every seller?

It is NOT a "hassle" to use Ebay's Money Back Guarantee in order to receive a refund if you do not receive an item or the item you receive is not as described.
