Dubious seller hiding negative reviews.
Hi!
I made a purchase from a seller in Thailand who had a fairly high positive feedback rate. The shipping details provided for my purchase have proven to be fake and the seller is now not responding to communications.
Recently two negative reviews from buyers with similar experiences to my own have appeared. This seller is manipulating feedback, see pics attached. They have 25 instances of revised feedback in the last 12 months, which about 1/6th of what they've sold.
Who can be contacted at eBay to investigate this seller??

·3 years agoI've noticed this in auctions recently. Even worse, I've observed sellers that not only remove legitimate negative feedback but pad their feedback with many high dollar fake transactions which can easily fool any unsuspecting buyer into purchasing wares they will never send. In some cases there doesn't appear to be any record the feedback ever existed unless one takes screenshots of it.
The closest thing to evidence you'll get is if you talk to Trust and Safety and find out the supposedly stellar seller has dozens of claims opened against them. That is when you start talking with your credit card company and give up on eBay, otherwise you may be waiting a long time to get that money back.
That being said...
I see most of these responses to problems on eBay to be victim-blaming and telling people they aren't smart enough to understand rules or telling users they should give up and just lose their money.
Here's the problem with that...
When humans are in a community, they are supposed to look out for one another to keep the community safe and prevent anarchy and injustice. Equating this idea to being "touchy-feely" is a bit of a problem.
If something is going on and someone reports it in the forums so other members will be forewarned, it isn't productive to attack the person.
