Dry Cat Food - 16 lb and 22 lb. Never Got Either One
I am SO angry - I ordered a 16 lb bag of cat food from a seller who lived in Pakistan. Store was located in US. Never got the food although he said he'd sent it. ( lie) So.... I ordered another bag of 22 lb from another seller who happened to live in Israel. A soon as he got my money - the item " disappeared".. I am DONE with Ebay and getting ripped off by these unscrupulous sellers. I have never had this problem in the 15 yrs I've been in the Ebay community. VERY disappointed.

Sounds like another drop shipper who was drop shipping from a retailer. You should report them. You should also file a INR claim. Buyers have a 30 money back guarantee. Should you not receive your item, your payment will be refunded. The quicker you file your claim, perhaps the quicker Ebay can remove these types of sellers, as they are violating Ebay policy and making it difficult for other good sellers here. Drop shipping has become one big mess on ebay in my opinion.

OP3 years agoThank you. I was shocked to see the 2nd bag was sent out yesterday after Ebay got involved. Bought it on the 9th of March - sent out on the 14th?? I know for a fact they would not have sent that food if Ebay had not contacted them. Who wants to go through that? They are unreliable sellers and should not be tolerated in this community. I'm done with Ebay and going to Amazon.

Like others here, I would ask you to rethink buying anything for your pets from such sellers. There are a multitude of news stories about dangerously contaminated pet products from overseas sellers. If you have a problem carrying heavy bags of pet food, you can have it delivered right to your door.

·3 years agoeBay has a money back guarantee that protects you from items not received problems. If you didn't get your item, file a claim. You will get your money back, end of story. If for some very strange reason they decline your claim (highly unlikely) you can file a chargeback with your credit card company. They will reimburse you.
Honestly it is nearly impossible as a buyer to get "ripped off" on a site like eBay or any other reputable large online retailer anymore. There are multiple layered safeguards in place to protect buyers from scam sellers.
As for buying pet food from an online seller in a different country, I certainly would never do it but hey, it's a free country so you can buy whatever you want to feed your pets. Just don't be surprised if they get sick or worse from some unknown compound or chemical that might be in it.

OP3 years agoI found these two guys to be sneaky and I hope they get kicked off, permanently. I asked where the first one lived. He would not reply. He started arguing about how it shouldn't be a bad thing if he wants to do business outside the country? Like I wanted an argument?? I only wanted CAT FOOD. He refused to tell me where the food was being sent from but if you click on the "store"........ it will tell you.

·3 years agoI don't mean to "pile on" but why oh why would you EVER order pet food from a seller in another country? No matter where the food is supposedly located, that would just mean they are drop shipping if it was legit.
Have you filed "Item not received" complaints? If not and it is past the delivery date then file ASAP and stay on top of it. It is next to impossible to lose your money as a buyer on ebay as long as you follow the Money Back Guarantee and pay attention to the dates.

OP3 years agoI did't know until after I put the order in that they lived in other countries. On the listing , it states the item is coming from the UNITED STATES......... which is partially true. found the whole thing underhanded and sneaky. Who knows how many others are doing the same thing on Ebay? You really have to research the listing to know exactly who is sending it.

·3 years agoit would be safer to buy from a local store / website. You don't know what you're getting when ordering food online. Could have been recalled or tampered with and could cause your pets to get sick.
Along with your local stores, some offer delivery and there also grocery shopping services that can deliver.

OP3 years agoYes. I filed a report. Got my money back from the first one..... Oddly enough, yesterday the seller of the second one went the bag!! I paid for it March 9 but..... oddly enough - it was miraculously sent out yesterday (March 14) due to Ebay getting involved. I really never expected to see that food arrive. When I tried to contact the seller - I was unsuccessful as I received an error message that they item was no longer in their system. Even if that had been my bag - I should have been able to contact the seller. I wasn't. I am done with Ebay. I have never had this problem before and I will do my business with Amazon from now on.

I have no stake in where you shop … but want you to know that the same thing can happen on Amazon if you buy from third-party sellers.
You need to know WHO you are buying from and HOW to get refunded. [Amazon’s customer service is now outsourced and very difficult to reach.]. I buy from both companies.
