I DM'd the OP and requeste a 'comeback' so that we know whether the item ever arrived. Hopefully they'll respond.
I think it would help if more responders tagged an OP when they posted a reply. [I think there was only one tag on this thread.] Tags help newer (or infrequent) Community members to find their way back to their own thread.]

However, OP has been registered under this ID since February 2, 2001, so not exactly a new kid on the block.
As well has 1787 FB with some of it for sales within the past month.

·5 months agoDid you damage the guitar during the several months you have owned it, find a better one, or just can't tune it anymore? I have sold several guitars over the years (not thru eBay) and I don't think I would accept any returns after 5 or 6 months unless a major defect went unnoticed. Never had a problem ... don't think you will have success with eBay, but good luck!

·5 months agoWhat makes you think the OP ever received the guitar @grann-4629 ? I couldn’t find evidence of that.. 🤔
grann-4629
·5 months ago@house*of*paws I misread the date ... thought it was bought in 2026 and thought the OP was trying to get a delivery date from the seller. My bad.
btw ... for all you Chinaphobics (another new word Mr.Webster), Dove guitars are awesome and they are made in China.
btw2 ... it wasn't me who suggested it never arrived. It was you in Message #6:

PayPal gives buyers 6 months to file an ‘Item not received’ claim.

I know you didn’t suggest it didn’t arrive. Your post assumed that it DID arrive … and that the OP had been using it ‘for several months’. I was wondering what gave you that assurance.
In truth, the OP didn’t say one way or the other. I may have been mistaken in assuming that the OP was waiting for the guitar to arrive, but that was my initial impression.

·5 months agoYeah, I messed up on this one ..
Initially, I assumed the OP had the guitar in their possession for several months - I read the date in the OP's post correctly
Then I had a brain burp and thought I had read the date wrong - thought it said 2026 and I assumed the OP had not received the guitar and was trying to contact the seller to ask why with no success
You know what they say about assumptions 🙄

·5 months agoYou are not inexperienced in eBay, which makes me wonder:
If you did not receive your item within a few days pasts its estimated delivery date, why would you not have opened an INR case within 30 days of that date?
If you did receive it, but it was not as described, why would you not have opened an NAD case within 30
days?
And have you not read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers which offers very good protection for buyers if used properly?
PS: Just realized that your seller stated it had been too long. Exactly WHEN (what date) did you make this purchase?

OP said they purchased the guitar on 10/05/25.

·5 months agoThank you, must have missed that. So obviously now too late for help from eBay and probably getting close to the deadline for a credit card chargeback. Sorry, OP.

·5 months agoHi @rj340
Phone your credit card company IMMEDIATELY and request a chargeback (if you paid with a credit card). [Most credit card companies give up to a year for refunds on items that are never shipped or delivered.]
PayPal gives buyers 6 months to file an ‘Item not received’ claim.
eBay only allows 30 days after the Estimated Delivery Date to file a claim … so it isn’t worth trying to reach an agent who won’t be able to help you.

If you paid with a credit card, contact them. Credit cards often offer 180 days of consumer protection.

·5 months ago1.) You have to open a return within 30 days of receiving the item.
2.) TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK!

·5 months agoEbay gives a 30 day moneyback guarantee so if anything goes wrong you are allowed to return the item for a full refund. All you had to do was file a case through Ebay. You decided to go through the seller which is not the way to do it. I am sorry to inform you but the seller is no longer obligated to issue you a refund. You could talk to your payment source but that time probably expired as well. You now own the guitar. Why are you looking to return this guitar?
As far as Ebay is concerned they will just tell you the same thing which is file a case. However time expired for that so that is no longer an option.
