Don't like the high prices?
To any and all that complain about the high prices sellers are asking for their items on here, here's a thought for ya. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Move on. Life's a **bleep** then you die. Buy it if you want to or don't buy it if you don't want to. No one cares actually. Keeping searching for someone selling what you're looking for at a lower price since there's usually hundreds of the same item listed. Or go to some local thrift store and buy it there.

·2 years agoI am a seller who prices for retail sales.
I might offer a bargain sometimes, but over all I price at what I feel a buyer who truly wants my item would be willing to pay. And I am willing to wait for that buyer to come along.
There is a lot of merchandise listed on Ebay which is listed for a price which exceeds "the street price" for the item. It should not be offered here because when the buyer realizes they overpaid, it hurts everyone who sells here. It also encourages some buyers to annoy responsible sellers with offers at insultingly low prices.
Overpricing by some sellers makes buyers behave in a way that annoys you and me. That does not include all of the buyers who behave this is a souk, but it is many of them.

·2 years agoAgreed. I tend to view transactions as mutually beneficial… I get an item I WANT / have been looking for, and the seller makes money ( which they may NEED to pay rent/ food/ shelter… hence the need to ask more when selling here).
People tend to overlook the bigger picture, which is that this is a free-market society. No one is forcing anyone to buy beyond their means, if it’s important to the BUYER to get something they want CHEAPLY that that is not the sellers’ problem. I’m willing to bet a buyer can do without a baseball card, but the seller might need to eat.
