Does Make Offer randomly select a quantity > 1?
Last night I made an offer on an item that had a large quantity available. I thought I was making an offer for 1, but the order confirmation showed that I purchased 3. This is the second time this has happened. Last time it showed that I purchased 5 instead of 1. I'm not sure if the quantity was changed before I clicked Make Offer or after, but I know for sure that I did not select those quantities. Has anyone else had this happen? I emailed the seller this morning to see if I can change the order to 1, but don't know if they are under any obligation to do so.

·2 years agoAlways always always review the "Review your offer" (or bid or payment or whatever) screen carefully before clicking the button to submit. It's there for this reason. Sometimes there is a default that you might not want for a field on the form. Sometimes you make a typo, like typing or clicking in the wrong box. Sometimes there is new information on the form (like the language pre-authorizing payment, or its absence when the seller doesn't require it).
No. The seller cannot amend the quantity. Best s/he can do is cancel that transaction at your request and you can make another offer for the right quantity.
