Dispute Duplicate Purchase Order
I am disputing a duplicate purchase with my CC company as the Seller
is not responding to my request. I have tried to cut-paste my texting to Seller
to make a copy for CC and it will not cooperate?
Any Ideas?
Tks,

·Sep 13, 2026 at 3:00 PM · Edited@hammondbabe , is this related to the neutral feedback you left recently saying "THIS IS A DOUBLE ORDER Send return shipping label"?
There was only one of those items available, and only one was sold. How can that have been a double order? Please share more information.

OPSep 13, 2026 at 3:44 PMYes this is my case.
I ordered 1 of this item and was sent 2 and charged for the second one.
I'm not sure if you can see the number of texts requesting this matter to be corrected

·Sep 13, 2026 at 4:01 PM · EditedI see that you made an offer on that item, which was accepted. The listing is a bit confusing, I'm not sure how many wheel spacers were supposed to be included. It might have been only 2, or maybe 4.
How many items did you receive? 2 or 4 or 8? or some other number?
Where they all shipped together, or in two separate packages?
Please share a screenshot of the order details page for the two transactions you were charged for (block out your name and address for privacy).
eBay sellers never get your CC number, so the seller can't charge anything to your card. Only the buyer can do that, when you make a purchase.
Are you positive you actually paid twice? You have to preauthorize the payment when you make an offer, and sometimes it can take a while before the preauthorized payment is released, after the final purchase. It might look like a double payment, but one of them will be released after a while.
That seems to be dependent on your bank, or credit card, and when they release the payment. Some buyers have reported that it may take up to 30 days for preauthorized payment to be released.
On eBay, there is no way to actually be charged twice if you really only made a single purchase, and on that listing there was only one set available, and one set sold. So it is probably a misunderstanding because of the preauthorization.

OPSep 14, 2026 at 9:19 AMAt the time of listing the seller had several of these available.
The listing was for 4 wheel spacers.
I received a total of 8 with 2 separate shipments.
I have 2 separate charges on my CC

·Sep 13, 2026 at 2:44 PMThe seller did not cause any type of duplicate payment.
They have no control of how you pay.

OPSep 13, 2026 at 3:47 PMThe seller had my credit card for the 1 item I did order, however he charged the same CC and sent a second item which I did not order

·Sep 13, 2026 at 4:09 PMNo, the seller did not have your CC number. eBay handles the payment through Managed Payments, so the sellers never get your payment details. So the seller could not have charged you again. See my earlier reply.

·Sep 13, 2026 at 4:09 PMIt's impossible for a seller to charge your account for a second time. Ebay just doesn't work that way.
Are you sure that you're not seeing both the "pending" debit along with the actual charge? (Sometimes both show on an account although it only charges once.)
I'm guessing you only got charged once.

·Sep 13, 2026 at 2:13 PMNot enough details. Are you saying that an eBay seller is charging you for two purchases when you only made one?
hammondbabe
OPSep 13, 2026 at 3:45 PMI only ordered 1 of this item.
I was sent 2 and charged for 2

OPSep 14, 2026 at 9:20 AMThat is correct
