Determining how long a 'Buy Now or Make an Offer' listing will stay posted
I saw this question was posted years ago but the answers were either outdated, totally unhelpful, or a bit argumentative. If you make an offer ( reasonable or not ) you'll get an email showing that ebay received your offer ( an offer is different than bidding ) and now you must await the sellers response. In that email, at the top, there will be a 'Time Till Listing Ends' with a time stamp in days and hours. Ebay itself uses enticements like 'Make an offer before this listing expires' so it's only fair that the buyers somehow know how long the listing will be open if nobody buy's it at the asking price.

Usually when a buyer makes an offer to a seller there is a time limit for the offer of 24-48 hours.
1: If the seller accepts your offer the listing ends making you the winner.
2: The seller makes you a counteroffer and the clock resets.
3: The seller ignores your offer and it expires after the 24-48 hour limit.
All Best offers expire when the listing either expires or renews monthly.

·2 years agoA fixed price listing is always "good til canceled". It is renewed each month, on the same day as it was originally listed, until it is sold. So in that sense, it doesn't really have an ending date.
The "Item Ends" date that is shown on an offer, is the date when the listing is going to be renewed the next time, if it doesn't sell before then:
Fixed price listing can stay posted for a long time, they renew every 30 days, unless a seller ends the listing or someone buys it. If the listing has an offer, a buyer makes an offer, seller accepts it the listing ends with a sale( unless the seller doesn't have their buyer requirements set to require a payment method when making an offer).
However, eBay has been known to just end listings that have been listed for an undisclosed length of time.
