Delivered as parcel locker but we don’t have a locker and never received the item! eBay closed case
Summary: A participant initiated the discussion by raising an issue about a parcel supposedly delivered to a parcel locker that they don't possess, which led to their non-receipt of the item. This issue was compounded when eBay controversially closed the case without resolution. simba6, kathiec, cardsforauction, and stainlessenginecovers all participated in the thread, but the focus remained on finding clarity over the undelivered parcel and the closed case. Despite the exchanges, there is no clear resolution presented at the end of the discussion.
I order an item worth $500+ but never received it, the tracking said it’s “delivered parcel locker” but we don’t have locker we live in a family home so that shouldn’t make sense. So I contacted usps they can’t locate the item so they suggest that to contact the seller and the seller should file a claim and get me refund but now the seller doesn’t seem to care or worry since eBay now closed my case and I call eBay they saying the item was delivered but they saying outcome can’t be changed tracking said it was delivered so they can’t do anything I can’t appeal the outcome anymore either. What can I do I don’t have the item, never get a refund, usps doesn’t know where my item is and the seller doesn’t seem to help? Anyone have this experience please let me know what to do?

@lucky09111991 @cardsforauction FYI: there are 10's of THOUSANDS of neighborhoods throughout the USA that use 'Mail Lockers' for both 'letters' and 'packages' (as is done in my entire city and we are almost ALL Single Family Homes).

OP4 months agoI see thanks for the info. We never have those type of mailer where I live or any near to us probably in some apartments complex near us but houses around where I live we never have it and houses around here kind build far apart so we have our own mailboxes in front of the house

·4 months agoSo, if you don't have a parcel locker located in your neighborhood as one person posted above, then I would go to the post office where they would hold packages for you if they did not deliver to your house. They have lockers there too and you can ask about this delivery and see what they say there.

·4 months agoWhen I read, "delivered parcel locker" I think it was delivered at the Post Office you would go to when you get one of those slips from USPS. If you have not tried going to that Post Office, you should go check with them first. If it's not at the Post Office, then it could be a tracking scam as others are saying.

It sounds like you were the victim of the fake tracking scam. Since you have no more appeals through eBay you'll need to dispute through your payment source. Before you do so, it will be very helpful if you can get a statement from USPS that the package was addressed to an address that isn't yours. With that your best bet is to go to the fraud department of your credit card and tell them you're a victim of the fake tracking scam. It's a common enough scam that they'll know all about it.

OP4 months agoThanks! I have contacted the USPS and they told me that the item was scan in different addresses thru the satellite system and they couldn’t find where is it now, nobody return the item so item probably lost or stolen and they instructed me to tell the seller to file a claim on the insurance but I don’t think the seller will do that since the case is closed, seller most likely ignore it now. Best option is to file a dispute on my credit card

OP4 months agoI have contacted the eBay as well they cannot change the outcome or reopen the case since the item is “delivered” and they just base on that. I even told them that I have a proof that I have ring camera and no one delivered anything the time that the package was scanned as delivered and also told them we don’t have parcel locker we live in a family home so it doesn’t make sense but they can’t do anything as they say. It’s suck

·4 months agoEBay isn't going to accept footage from a Ring camera, as it can too easily be altered. And eBay also has no way to know you don't have a parcel locker, as it's not all that unusual for people in family homes to have one, for a host of reasons. So your "proof" really isn't proof at all.
From the additional information you've provided it sounds like, rather than being the fake tracking scam, this is a case of USPS losing the package. But in the end that's the seller's problem, not yours. You need to proceed with your credit card.

OP4 months agoI see good to know this is the 1st to me. Never have this issue before. Being a buyer and seller I’ll wait til tomorrow for the seller to response if no response tomorrow morning I’ll go ahead at my bank location to file a dispute as a fake tracking. Hopefully I can get my money back 😭

·4 months agoIf tracking shows delivered, not much the seller can do.
An insurance claim with USPS wouldn't do any good because it shows delivered.
Did you go to your PO and ask or just contact them online?
lucky09111991
OP4 months agoYes I have like 5 times they said they can’t find it and no one is admitting who “delivered” it or scan it? The know it’s expensive and collectible item so God knows what happened to it. I called usps they said they use satellite to locate the item and say it was scan on a different address so now they closed my case in them and when I called eBay they said they can’t do anything about it because it was “delivered”(it’s favor the seller)then the seller is not responding so I don’t think his willing to do a claim on insurances even tho I send him the information from usps that the item was not delivered to me. So my only option like they said is to go to my bank and file a dispute but still not sure if really can the bank get my money back. 😭 I feel like I’m losing my money 😭
