Credit card information

Why did eBay recently eliminate the need for users to input the CVV or security code for each purchase? Please refrain from stating it's for my convenience. The security code serves a purpose, so eBay should continue to mandate its entry for every purchase. For starters it avoids accidental purchase.

While it's an important security feature anything that slows down the buying process could drive off a buyer. Less thinking and more buying rules.

My credit card number along with my CVV number is on record many places so don't require me to enter the CVV number every time I pay my bills nor when I use CC to shop at B&M, most of the time I don't even need to use my pin number. None of them have been hacked, it was my bank that was. LOL

They did that in order for their auto-pay system to be able to charge your card without you.
