Coupons? legit or not

While looking up some auto items I came across this in the ad in eBay item number:185682245739

$50.00 off with code YUSFSI437HLFXLCM

Ends 02 Apr.

Usually I brush these offers off, even from Ebay, because I figure there is always a catch in there somewhere, you know, you've just signed up for some kind of subscription plan, for some new payment service, whatever. Other than the statement: "this is funded by Ebay" I could not find anything suspicious in the paragraphs on the "see details" pop-up screen. Anybody else have experience with these coupon offers from Ebay. Are they totally legit, or did I miss something? Not to accuse anyone of shenanigans, but I have been nailed, not often, but more than once, by clicking on a box on a legitimate web page and wound up dealing with a bunch of annoying monthly nonsense that I didn't realize I signed up for.

Also, I might add that while the coupon is fully funded by eBay (and not the seller), the coupon code will appear (for the selected buyers) with every qualifying item.

That is $200.00 or more and not in an excluded category. (Click on the details link for details)

This does NOT mean that eBay guarantees or enforces the veracity of the listing that the coupon accompanies. They are two separate things. The seller has nothing to do with it.

Always do your due diligence.

It's legit.

It's targeted to specific sellers for applicable items. Click on the link for exclusions & terms.

You can check for the coupon code in the header of (I believe) your buying or bids/offers page.

I received one and redeemed it easily.

If you are planning on using the coupon for any item that will require auto pay, be sure to pre-fill the coupon info into your payment information prior to submitting/engaging in the transaction in question as you will not be able to retroactively submit the coupon.

eBay does NOT direct you to do this, but it makes logical sense unless you are doing a straight cart check-out where you will enter the code at check out.

For example, if your purchase potentially is a counteroffer to a seller offer, you will need to go into your auto-pay screen & copy/paste the coupon code in the coupon field, click update and be sure that the coupon discount is reflected in the total final order cost.

If you see a coupon or code you can usually look it up online by doing a search for:

ebay coupon YUSFSI437HLFXLCM which returned this answer :

"Based on a search of current eBay coupons and promotions, the code YUSFSI437HLFXLCM does not appear as a valid or verified promotional code".

FYI. The listing you saw that on is from a China based seller, offering a 1 year (unenforceable warranty) on a No Brand name item. A look at the Neutral and few Negative comments they've received should be warning not to buy from them.

eBay does fund coupons. I've never used one. I don't see it on the listing, so it may be specifically for you. I do not see why it should concern you. If you want the item, apply the coupon. If the system takes it, great! If not, oh well. $50 is $50.
