Counterfeit / Fake Products - Upon Return Seller Issues Partial Refund Only- Closes Their eBay Store
I recently purchased some microphones. I received them and upon opening only one box I discovered they were fake. Initiated a return for refund. Seller refunded partial and said I didn't return all the items or they were damaged. I opened a case and then they refunded in full. Once Ebay closed the case they cancelled the refund. Ebay won't let me open a case again on the same item. I left negative feedback with photos of fake and genuine side by side. I even provided the photos to Ebay and the seller was allowed to continue selling. Seller got the feedback removed and has now since taken all their items off their Ebay store. No communication outside of the lies that I didn't return the product.
That's the last time I buy anything off Ebay. It's full of foreign knock off garbage.

·7 months agoDo not contact or reply to the seller again @briangriffinusa and just file a CREDIT NOT PROCESSED chargeback with your card issuer, providing the return tracking number to get the rest of your full refund.
"Credit Not Processed" chargebacks are filed by customers who have returned their purchase but did not receive a refund from the merchant.

·7 months ago'seller refunded partial'...'then they refunded in full'...
I think we are missing some of the story.
I think a buyer can do one or the other...but I don't it's possible to do both.
Seller probably showed you got a partial refund to eBay...and then getting another refund probably closed it by eBay.
And feedbacks can be removed by eBay or the seller if there are nasty words or wordage in the feedbacks.
Some sellers sell on Amazon and eBay the same items by the way.

OP7 months agoSeller sent a partial refund under false claim that I did not return all of the order or some was damaged. I opened a case. Ebay resoved it and said I would get full refund. The rest of the refund showed up as a pending charge on my card. Next day that pending charge was gone and only showed the initial partial refund. My feedback didn't have any bad language.

·7 months ago@briangriffinusa Your feedback would have been removed because you included a photo of an item that was not part of the transaction. That violates eBay feedback policy.
What did you get from eBay to indicate they cancelled the refund?
You also have contradicting statements. In your title you say the seller closed their eBay store. In your post you say the seller removed all of their items. Which is it? Is it that the account is actually closed, or is the account open but there are no items in the store?

OP7 months agoI probably worded that inaccurately. Here is what happened.
I purchased 5 microphones. They were pictured and described with the brand name.
Received the microphones and opened one. I immediately discovered it was fake because I already owned the same one and they were very different from the one I owned. I didn't open the other four. I initiated a return and refund. Packed up the one I opened and boxed it up with the other four to return. All in one box.
Seller received the return and claimed some were missing and others damaged. Seems impossible seeing they were all in the same box and I only opened one. Also note each microphone is in its own box so everything was double boxed. They shipped it to me in a plastic postal bag. My packaging was more secure than theirs.
At that point they initiated only a partial refund. I tried to contact them to explain and they did not respond. Opened a case with ebay. Ebay messaged me and said they resolved it and I would be refunded in full. The rest of the refund showed up as a pending credit on my credit card. Ebay closed the case. Not happy about the experience but was fine at that point.
I checked my credit card this morning and the second refund that was initiated (to make it a full refund) after the case was resolved... was no longer showing on my account. They withdrew that refund somehow likely by dispute. While I tried to contact them again I checked their ebay store and they had many items for sale, including same fake product. I contacted and said I would be reporting them. They took down all of the products they were selling shortly after I contacted them. I guess I misspoke by saying they closed their store. They just stopped selling items....for now. No responses from them at all to my messages. My case was closed by ebay and they removed my negative feedback from this seller because they thought it was resolved. I am unable to open another case at this point because ebay thinks I've been fully refunded. They are likely not aware that the seller somehow disputed the refund with their credit card company or whatever means they initiated it with.
I reported them and in my initial case had sent ebay the photos of the product genuine and fake side by side.

·7 months agoNo seller can immediately close their store after recent sales, it takes months in case of refunds, Im sure Ebay suspended him. If you paid by cc, you can try them for a chargeback.
