counterfeit
I got ripped off by a seller who sold me counterfeit diamond earrings and listed their location as Jamaica NY. When I received the package from India later than promised and had the earrings tested they were cheap moissanite also known as fake. I left negative feedback and Ebay removed it without my permission after giving me a refund telling me there is nothing they can do what's done is done even if it was removed by mistake. What a bunch of bull puckey!!!! Complicit in the illegal activity allowing fake diamonds to continue to be sold on ebay. I need help from corporate but they are hidden and hiding, posting fake phone #s that never get answered.

·2 years agoI just purchased from them also. Very easy to find, as they also have a web site with higher prices for these stones. They are horrible quality Moissanite, how can they actually be this bad? Why go through all this when they can buy good Moissanite and sell for higher prices on another platform. So weird.

Anyway, if you had the same experience, can we assume that you opened an item not as described case in order to be refunded?

OP3 years agoThanks, I did receive a refund after many hrs of my time and after 3 weeks. It was a daunting ordeal. I am never buying jewelry from ebay again and nothing that I can't buy on amazon. Have a nice day and good luck on ebay!!!

Did you check the seller's feedback profile page before buying from them? It shows that the seller is registered in India, and has a 1-5 day handling time frame. They may have a 100% rating but their 4 neutral feedback has mentions of poor descriptions and slow shipping. In looking at some of their other listings, I see that they list the item location on some listings as being Houston Tx. as well as Jamaica N.Y. To me a seller registered in another country especially Asian ones, giving a U.S. address is a red flag.
Your feedback was probably removed for calling the seller a thief. Had you stuck to the facts of the transaction in your comment, it may have stuck. Ex: Stones listed as diamonds were actually moissanite, shipping was late by X number of days and was directly from India not New York.

OP3 years agoThey removed it because of " posting personal information" when I mentioned India. So your suggestion would have been removed also. That was their excuse over and over never saying anything about calling the seller a thief. Your reply sounds like you know exactly who ripped me off
and your advice is well taken on the feedback page. I did not see that India was on that page. I will check it out. Thank you for taking the time to point that out to me. Ebay didn't say a single word about that. 17 yrs on ebay and I'm still learning the tricks of their trade. Thanks again !! You are definitely an asset to other ebayers!

·3 years agoeBay doesn't post their phone number but fake Google ads post fake numbers.
Some things you're not allowed to say in the feedback. Mentioning eBay refunding or a case isn't allowed. Top sellers with free returns get special treatment from eBay which is automatic removal of negative feedback.
I see a lot of fake complaints from India. They're probably dropshipping from a dropshipper from the counterfeit capital of the world (China) that has a warehouse in NY.

OP3 years agoA thief out of India was mentioned in my feedback. Ebay feels that India is an address. That's why, and what you said about drop shipping is correct. Thanks for the help!

·3 years agoUnfortunately eBay Does not have to have permission from anyone to remove feedback.
There are quite a few instances where eBay will remove feedback when feedback policies are violated.

If you posted the exact feedback here, someone could tell you why it was removed.
