·5 months agoTry reaching out to the manufacturer. If it’s a major brand, they might have their own repair department or partnerships with local repair shops.
If the battery went bad, I think they cost about $200 each. That was the price a couple of years ago, though so I’m not sure about the current cost.
One more thing to note is that if the chair has a lift mechanism, it won’t move forward for safety reasons while it’s even slightly raised. So, make sure the seat is fully lowered before moving.

When did you receive the chair?

I can only go by the feedback you received from a wheelchair seller, which dates back more than a year ago.
If this is the case, ebay certainly can't help, nor can your payment provider.

·5 months agoYou do not need to speak to Ebay about this problem. What you need to do is if the chair stopped working within 30 days you must file an "item not described" case. Then return the chair to the seller for a full refund. If it's over 30 days then Ebay's moneyback guarantee has expired then you must go through your payment source and see if you can reverse the charge. Which you mentioned.

·5 months agoI'm not sure if this would be considered 'not as described', unless the listing stated that the chair would work for a certain length of time only, which no listing would include. The chair apparently worked initially so it was probably as described. If the colour was wrong or it was an obvious knock-off, then it would qualify as INAD.
The 30 day guarantee offered by eBay is a very generous offer - hopefully the chair qualifies.
There must be a better way for the OP to get satisfaction ...

Another way to considered it "item defective" which is still subject for return within 30 days.

I assume you purchased the chair from an ebay seller but if it's been over 30 days since you received it, there's nothing that can be done.
Contacting ebay is useless. They cannot and won't do anything.
If it's within 30 days of receipt of your purchase, go to your order and open a claim for NAD (not as described). Seller will have to either issue a refund (without requiring a return) or will have to pay for shipment back to them and then issuing a refund.
If it's past 30 days, the seller isn't required to do anything.
Please give more info.

·5 months agoHow long have you had the product? If under 30 days you have the standard Money Back Guarantee you can initiate.
If it is older than 30 days since delivery, unless you purchased one of the "add-on" insurance policies (if it was offered) I am not sure what anyone can do for you.
