Condition is "New" - shady or something else?
I've seen a lot of listings that say Condition is "New"
What does this mean when the word new is in quotes?
Why would a seller do that? If it's new, it's new not "New"?

·2 years agoHi @hense_jo Unfortunately, no one but the specific seller can answer that for you. You can use the Contact Seller link in the listing to ask them directly. If the listing states New it is supposed to mean Brand New. Good luck!
From eBay's Help Page on Item Condition definitions:

ps to any other responders, I'm aware this thread originated in 2020, but an OP asked a question and I chose to answer it.
