Competing Offer?
Just got an email from eBay telling me there is a 'competing offer' on something I apparently made an offer on.
I looked at an item about a week ago but didn't put it in my watch list. A couple of days later, I received an offer on this item from 'the seller' (in quotes because I don't know if eBay sent it on behalf of the seller).
I declined the offer because the seller was selling bootleg copies of a tv series that I have no interest in.
No counter-offer was made.
So, why should I care if someone has made a competing offer when there is no competition!
