Combined Shipping, no response
Hello, I’m trying to buy a bunch of games from a major seller, and it says “save $1 on shipping with each game added.†So I added about 16 games to my cart, and the shipping didn’t decrease in price. I saw the “request combined shipping†option and did it, now I’m committed to buying, and the seller still hasn’t responded. I’ve tried messaging them, but they’re a major seller, so they don’t allow messages. Should I just wait for a response? The shipping is 30$ total, and it should be about half that with their discount.

OP1 year agoThank you everyone for replying! I ended up just emailing the company itself, and it turns out the discount was just that it was $1 shipping off per game, not of the overall total, so it was the correct amount, and there was just no discount for combined shipping. Just a misunderstanding on my end! I just bit the bullet and paid the total, it was my bad.

How long has it been?
I've waited a day or two at times from some sellers but always got my combined shipping.
If they are a large seller, they may have multiple requests & might respond in order to them.
They may pack up orders and then reply to requests like this..
So how long has it been?

"I’m trying to buy a bunch of games from a major seller, and it says “save $1 on shipping with each game added.†So I added about 16 games to my cart, and the shipping didn’t decrease in price".
Do the listings for each of the different game titles say for example:
Buy 1 pay $4 shipping, each additional add $1 shipping?
If so, and you bought 16 Different games from 16 separate listings. You do not get the shipping discount. You only get the Add $1 shipping discount, when you buy multiples of each individual game title. Even if they all have the same "add $1 discount".
A good seller would issue a partial refund for buying that many items that have the same pricing rule, but they are not required to do that.

OP1 year agoI actually did try adding higher quantities of one particular game to see if that was what it meant, but it didn’t do the discount then either. The games just say “save one dollar on shipping per game added.â€

·1 year agoWhen you look at your cart you'll see "go to checkout". When selecting this, does the total shipping decrease once you hit that button? If not, your seller has not taken the time to add combined shipping to their listing within their business policies.
Being " a major seller" is no excuse for not allowing messages. If they can't be bothered to combine shipping costs or accept message from potential customers -- this should tell you something about their customer service.

OP1 year agoThe price does not go down once I hit go to checkout. Honestly at this point I might just cancel the order. If they aren’t allowing messages I feel like they will not give time the refund if I do pay full price.

·1 year agoThis tells me that your seller didn't bother to set up combined shipping for the whole store , only for each listing. Who wants multiples of the same game? You want a discount for 16 different items and they haven't bothered to set that up in their business policies & shipping preferences. I am fairly certain that if they refuse to accept messages from customers, they will not issue you a refund on your 30.00 shipping cost. If you pay the full amount , you will have no recourse in obtaining a shipping refund. There is no eBay policy that forces sellers to combine shipping costs. It's just good business practice!
Too bad, you seem like that ideal customer with a large order! It's always a good idea to communicate with your (potential) customers -- it's called "customer service".
Just saw your latest reply! I hope you enjoy your games and they arrive quickly ðŸ˜
