charged wrong for shipping
I made a bid on something and it said 1.00 for shipping but seller charged me 7.99, i talk to ebay customer service and they have 1.00 on there computer to. I also have my order email that says 1.00 . the seller refuses refund 6.99 says there's no way it was only 1.00 for delivery. How can they get a way with that if i have proof and so does ebay, I'm scared to make a fuss about it cause what if seller blocks me from buying from them again?

·10 months agoThis was an excellent explanation overall, but I wanted to offer a slight correction here. It is definitely possible to change the shipping cost on an invoice, even to raise it, though it’s not allowed per policy in most cases. However, it would not have been auto paid if an invoice was sent.

If you read what I posted about these being two Live Auction purchases I think, but am not absolutely sure that Live auctions are all auto pay. The ones I opened had Buy 1 pay $7.99 Each additional add $1. However, since the two items were from different listings, the $1 each additional item cannot be applied.

OP10 months agoI actually did speak to agent customer service agent live and they did see only 1.00 on there side as well. But anyway you live and learn. Its part of the process and I will watch better. But I can tell you I bid on another item with someone else and their shipping rates kept changing each new item they put up for auctions . One shirt came up as 6.99 for shipping, then a pair of jeans came up as 10.99, then each time they put something up it kept changing. My guess would be maybe the weight of the item costs more?

·10 months agoYes, heavier items cost more to ship than lighter weight ones. A shirt is lighter than jeans, thus cost less to ship.

If a seller lists their items with calculated shipping, package size, weight and ship to: zone will affect the shipping cost. Some sellers do charge a Flat Rate for shipping, but often it is a higher cost than calculated shipping since it is calculated for the furthest zone the item can be shipped to. You could buy an item from the next town over, and pay the same cost as someone several states away.

OP10 months agoWhen you talk to the robot after awhile the robot don't understand you then the give you an option to have ebay call you back. And the guy I spoke right after the bid seen the same exact thing I seen. So please dont insult my intelligence when you say I did not speak to a live agent , I actually spoke to 2 guys.

What was the delivery fee you saw there?

·10 months agoYes, I actually DID read the OP. Please make me understand how a listing can show $1 shipping when the buyer reads it and then have $7.99 actual shipping.

OP10 months agoI seen the 7.99 crossed off and it said 1.00 next to it. And my 1st email showed 1.00 then the next email with the tracking number said 7.99 . I know they over charged but nothing i can do not from now on I'm taking screenshots of my bids with the shipping on it.

Don't be scared be thankful. Why on earth would you even want to buy from a seller who upcharges you and violating Ebay policy? Personally I wouldn't and even though the amount is probably not worth a return I would make it very clear to the seller that you are not happy with what they did and will leave appropriate feedback. At that time find another seller to deal with.

·10 months agoThe seller may have sent you an updated invoice with the higher shipping after the auction ended. They're not supposed to increase the shipping fee but they may of not liked the winning bid amount. If this is what they do, I wouldn't want to buy from then again, so I would make a fuss.

OP10 months agoUr right they blocked me from there site . So anyway I looked into the products I ordered and they are not authentic either. Not the same ingredients as the website of the real products say. So won't be ordering ever again.

·10 months ago@loveskincare_23 if the item is fake, open a return item case with the reason item not as described. the return this item button is next to the purchased item.
the seller will have to fully refund u, including the shipping cost u paid, plus send u a prepaid return shipping label.

Now you need to open a return request for an "Item not as described" to be refunded.
The seller will be required to provide you with a pre-paid return shipping label if they want the item back.
Find the item in your purchase history
To the right expand the "more option" drop down menu and choose "return this item".
Then choose as the reason "Doesn't match description or photos"
If they don't respond to the return request within 3 business days on the fourth day you will be given an option to ask ebay to step in and they will refund you.

It doesn't matter what the seller's return policy is if you select a not as described reason, the seller has to accept it. If your reason was a Buyer's Remorse one Doesn't fit, Found it cheaper, decided I didn't want it, etc. Then they could refuse the return. Go to the listings in your purchase history open one look under the accepted payment icons for Shop with Confidence and click on the More details or Learn more button to see the terms of ebay's Money Back Guarantee.
