Changing payment method when paying with PayPal
Summary: sbrannon expressed frustration over no longer being able to choose a funding source during PayPal checkouts on eBay as they used to. ferncliff-39 suggested checking if PayPal is set to autopay using a single source and provided a tip to go to the eBay Payments page to remove PayPal, which might allow choosing a payment method next time. A method to navigate through PayPal and eBay settings was described to potentially restore the previous options.
I have used PayPal for my eBay purchases for so long I can't remember using any other means. During checkout I used to be given the option of choosing the funding source I wanted to use. i.e. which credit card or bank account I wanted to use to fund the purchase. I no longer have this option and it is very annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this changed back to the previous behavior?

I pay with PayPal using my choice of accounts. I remember it being as easy as going to PayPal/Wallet and selecting from there the one to be my 'Preferred method of payment while shopping online'.
My eBay Payment page does list 'PayPal' (shows 'Used for offers and auctions' and 'Last used for checkout') there, though. Seems like when I pay, I'm sent to my PayPal choices to confirm.

Added: found this tip on another post, which is probably the answer you're looking for:

Check your PayPal account to see if it's set to Autopay eBay purchases using only one source.
In PayPal click the 'gear' icon, then click Payments, scroll down to Automatic Payments, click next screen see what's there under Active & Inactive.
That's all I can think of off top, perhaps another member will have suggestions.
