Card with Esu tracking shows delivery, but there is no delivery and USPS can’t track ?
I believe other card buyers have had this issue.., tracking shows my item a signed card being delivered today , however I met postman at mailbox and it was not one of the pieces given to me , the Mailman had no explanation other than possibly being delivered to wrong address, assured me that if I queried or complained to Post Office they could ping locate where it was delivered, however when calling Post Office the tracking number starts with an eu and is not traceable by USPS , told me to contact seller and get a tracking number that starts with 9 .,e-mailed seller and he emailed back that was e-Bays label and it showed delivered. What can I do , u can’t get ahold of a live person anymore ?? Help .?

·2 years agoEvery complaint made by the OP about ESE is correct and disclosed in the Ebay descriptions of the service.
It cannot be tracked by USPS employees.
Tracking may not be complete or accurate at any step in the process.
It cannot be pinged.
Ebay is providing limited insurance for this service because of these flaws.
Successful use of this service is dependent on how the seller packs, and the state of repair of USPS sorting machines. Some sellers packages are too rigid, and some sorting machines are less tolerant of some envelopes.
I tested the service, and was displeased with it, so that the only items I still offer ESE for are the leftovers from my test case.
If it is not worth paying for Ground Advantage on, it is not worth my listing it.
It is definitely an improvement over shipping without tracking, but I never have done that and won't.

As @wastingtime101 mentioned, the "Delivered" notification for the ESEs only means that the ESE has arrived at the post office matching the ZIP Code on your residential address -- and it is NOT possible for USPS to track it, since it is "metered mail."
Your ESE will probably be delivered in a day or so -- keep in mind that we just came out of a three-day holiday period, and USPS deliveries are running LATE (I did not receive a delivery on Saturday December 30, and my USPS delivery today (January 2) seemed awfully light -- so I'm expecting the rest of the weekend's mail to be delivered Wednesday or Thursday.)
Patience.

OP2 years agoHey 1786davycrockett , thanks for posting best info on my issue , card finally showed up three days later than e-Bay tracking info indicated. You are a credit to e-Bay .

·2 years agoMy mailman is so weird...get to know your mailman and the mailman who takes over on his day off.
My mailman delivers letters and then returns to deliver packages or anything with tracking. Drives me nuts.
So, my mailman does do 2 deliveries a day...letters...and then packages or items with tracking.
I have notice the substitute mailman will push items to the next day for delivery even though tracking says it the item is out for delivery.
Are you getting an item from another country? Tracking from some other countries will not show up.
None of my packages from Macao show tracking of eBay...but they have tracking.

@12345jamesstamps
ESE mail would not be arriving from another country. It is a cheap service with spotty tracking.

·2 years agoeBay Standard Envelope (ESE) has a tracking number that begins with ESUS @12345jamesstamps
This is why the OP referred to it as "ESU tracking"
But from the other clues - it was a card, the PO can't track it, etc - that tells you it's an ESE shipment even if you're not familiar with ESUS tracking numbers. Hope that helps.

One other thing I would do @comicsport is sign up for USPS Informed Delivery. You get an email every morning with images of letter mail you'll be receiving that day (ESE should be pictured with the letter mail), and the email will also show a list of package tracking numbers arriving that day.
https://www.usps.com/manage/informed-delivery.htm
When an item is pictured on your informed delivery email, but that item isn't delivered, you can log in to your account at usps.com and report that you didn't receive it. That alerts the PO and they will alert your carrier that a mail piece was missing from your delivery.

·2 years agoTracking (made up) number 94001231231231312321
If one person says tracking starts with 9400
and another person says tracking starts with 940
which one is wrong or playing games?
The buyer using an abbreviation and/or not knowing there's a 4 letter prefix and that 3 is an abbreviation does not mean the buyer is playing games (charades). They're just asking for help and providing the info they believe to be relevant. Just like you provided info you believe to be relevant. Does not mean you're playing games just because you didn't realize it's not an international shipment.
I don't know - guess I tend to give everyone here the benefit of the doubt whenever I can. 🤷

·2 years agoThat's why it is better to sometimes just sit back and learn rather than getting into an area that one knows nothing about, and just complicating the issue by inputting nonapplicable info 😊🤔
Being helpful sometimes is not helpful😶

·2 years agoeBay Standard Envelope (ESE) is a metered mail shipment so it does not receive traditional tracking scans like a package would, and the clerk at the PO counter cannot scan it or track it. The envelope is scanned by sorting machinery at distribution centers along the way.
With ESE, a 'delivered' scan generally occurs at the last sort facility before it gets to the buyer, so typically the buyer will receive their order a day or two after the delivered scan.
If you just saw a delivery scan today @comicsport then I suggest giving a couple more days for the envelope to turn up.
