Caramel cancelled order NO REASON GIVEN
Well, I'm never using this platform again. I made a bid and won on an RV being sold by [Removed by moderator]. Caramel had me fill out some incredibly basic information and then told me that I had to wait and couldn't proceed. This was around 5 PM CST on January 5th. Today January 6th at 10 AM I get an email stating that my order had been cancelled.
I was given NO option to verify my identity further. I was given NO instruction on how to proceed. NOBODY reached out to me. I looked up online how to proceed or make the process move smoothly and there was pretty much nothing on how to do so. It was suggested online that I was required to submit a picture of my DL so I did UNPROMPTED. I submitted a picture of my face UNPROMPTED.
I attempted to call eBay directly and their AI sent me in a loop asking for my number then verifying my number, only to ask for it again.
I have the money, I don't need to use their financing services. I don't want them to transport the vehicle for me. I don't want them to handle the title. I'm fully capable of handling all that myself. I want to pay and be done, but now I CANT DO THAT.
eBay is dead. Stay far away from buying things on here.

·9 months agoI looked at their sales they had on January 5th.
ALL were lowball Sales. Ebay Motors Sellers are not bound to complete sales, especially when, example here, a $30,000 RV sells for $7,000. Remember, example here.
Did you honestly believe you were going to get an RV for .10 cents on the dollar, whether it was on ebay or off ebay?
No further discussion needed.

·9 months agoYou're right, I just looked and nobody's selling anything here anymore. Rest in peace.
Just kidding, everyone's still here except you

·9 months agoeBay Motors Vehicle Listings are not a true auction in the traditional sense, and as Simba6 has pointed out, the buyer or seller can walk away at any time.
I suggest you read up on eBay Motors vehicle listings to get a better grasp of how it operates and its limitations.

Ebay is not dead you as a new buyer need to read terms and conditions on purchasing motor vehicles. As others stated you are not in a binding contract with the seller so your best bet is just to find another seller to purchase from. The seller doesn't have to give a reason for cancellation.

·9 months agoThose sales are non binding. Either party can just walk away. eBay motors rules allow that. No point contacting eBay as nothing wrong was done.

·9 months agoI would contact the seller, not eBay or Caramel.
The seller probably cancelled as the auction did not bring enough money to satisfy them.
